Watch it a few weeks ago. I was not expecting a solid storyline, but having a so thin plot is amazing. Supporting characters were weak, Knull was a lame. Hopefully they don’t go in the multiverse madness, and we been prevented from seeing the venomized characters parade.

The Druid cast Conjure woodland being, then wild shape into a turkey, then the rest of the party grab the turkey and pass it over and over running into the dungeon! The goal is to trigger the spell damage the more often possible. Ok i make it funny, but you better use an owl with fly by attack...

Unfortunately that is the concern of the OP : A mob can shoot down a dragon too easily. A mob of 100 guards shooting with crossbow can do 25d8+25 point of damage per round to an adult red dragon.

I think it is opening a pandora box. People are already complaining about encounter balance, and sometime combat turn being too long. If we add rules to manage an additional warband under the control of the party it will add more imbalance and more time to combat.

I don’t care about 100 guards vs 1 dragon. The game is not meant for that. Adding rules to comfort war game simulation balance is an unnecessary burden.

IRL the long rest would be a miracle! One rest to go back at full hit point, a week to overcome any level of exhaustion, bring me long rest.!

Base on my DnD experience, I never look at system mastery. Just play decent build, which I don’t call mastery play. For fair fight, I guess to odds are 99:1 for the PCs. Not really a fair fight. Sometime a kind of thrill, but most of the time fights are not fair at all. Fair fight is a myth...

The key will be to create feats that don’t undermine the other ones. Otherwise everybody will simply take multi class feats.

I agree, I was mocking about the coolness of adding special trait to all monster, just to have a special trait… Crowd effect or overwhelming numerous opponents is a cool effect and should be used more often. But to make it the special attack of the “commoner” is a kind of amusing.

For what races matter now in 5.24 I guess the whole game is humanocentric.
