It's a sci-fi movie that isn't Star Wars or Marvel, so it's a win for me. I get that's an extremely low bar, but I'll take any variety quite frankly.

Considering the Radiant Citadel and the Tian Xia guidebook that's coming out this year, I feel that there are definitely ways to create such a book with cultural sensitivity in mind. It's not like Kobold Press couldn't afford consultants.

I'm not actually too bothered by the Outlands theoretically being the default setting, if the jacked up the gonzo 1000%. It would be nice to see some worldbooks, but that doesn't seem to in their purview anymore. In an ideal world, I'd love to see WOTC get the writers of the Radiant Citadel...

It's a shame how risk averse WOTC has become. It's probably why we're unlikely to get a Dark Sun anytime soon. Even with Ajit George saying he'd like to give it a go.

I doubt including real world Gods would impact profits.

Some of the 5e books have been a bit hit and miss in my opinion, but the art has consistently been spectacular.
