I like the curses. It is one of their more interesting articles. Let's hope they continue as they mean to go on. I believe it is possible for Hard checks to be impossible for some characters (with a low stat and untrained in the skill) with the new DCs. Probably why they went with medium.

At the time they mentioned that they had no future plans to support the settings, but they left the door open on doing future supplements. I don't see a one off book every so often as change in that policy.

I think they need to widen their net wrt authors. Go find some good freelancers - their are tonnes around - and commission some articles. The dungeon and dragon mags of old had a lot of varied content. And loads of little nooks and crannies; letters, sage advice, strips and even Ads!! And...

And while we are at it; how about a few more styles of Character Sheets. Like some of the cut down pre-gen ones and with more customisation on how it looks. The old style Red Box Day character sheets look great: I want that!! :D please.. :D

Nope. It is fairly hefty. I think it has everything minus the powers and monster stats. ANd I think it is 6x9 format. It is the one essential book that is essential for me :D PS: Ohh notice the 4th revised edition edition (edition squared!!).

The Ring in LotR was an unusual item - for DND - in that it's power was related directly to the power of it's owner at that time and it had a will of it's own. It would be modeled better by being an Artifact I think.
