    D&D 5E (2014) Mythic Odysseys of Theros

I have read the rules. I have read and reread every single time you have posted. I do NOT see what you see. No where does it say “this trait works even if something else would block it” I ran into a cantrip that did. Others have realized things that kill without reducing to 0hp may too...

    D&D 5E (2014) Mythic Odysseys of Theros

I am so glad you think your interpretation is the one true only one... I would think you would agree it should be spelled out if that were the case

    D&D 5E (2014) Mythic Odysseys of Theros

Because I still see nothing that stops (you can NOT regain hp)

    D&D 5E (2014) Mythic Odysseys of Theros

The first time I ran it I had a necromancer who was spamming chill touch... this wasn’t some white room number crafting, nor was it meta gaming because no one else had any idea it was a mythic monster until I said “naughty word” when the necromacer hit it with chill touch leaving it with just nearly 2...

    D&D 5E (2014) Mythic Odysseys of Theros

For the record I use it to kick in when bloodied (a hold over mechanic from 4e that is half hp) and grant the creatures a boost or two (some times resist sometimes AC sometimes temp hp some times a whole new trait like regen) and mythic actions... I have non legendary creatures gain legendary...

    D&D 5E (2014) Mythic Odysseys of Theros

I like the concept... I even am useing it in my home brew world just with some tweeks. But I think it could have used a bit more fine tune in

    D&D 5E (2014) Mythic Odysseys of Theros

If your brand new mechanic can be stop Ed by 3 spells with out DM intervention(one a cantrip and all PHB) I think that needs to be adjusted by the company.

    D&D 5E (2014) Mythic Odysseys of Theros

The BiG T needs some love. In 4e it was okay in 3e it was mostly good. I feared the 2e one the most... 5e needs a rework... more immunities a gravity effect to keep fly from kiting and the wish requirement being more hard coded is a start... maybe a fling rock option like a giant, and up the...

D&D 5E (2014) Opinions: Clone and artificial aging

I think in 2e hast used to age you..: I remember people were useing it creatively like this

D&D General For the Love of Greyhawk: Why People Still Fight to Preserve Greyhawk

One of these days I am going to put up my pitch for an ultimate/PC settings... but the basics was what I pitched years ago at the end of 3.5 for forgotten realms, but I think 4e Darksun came the closest. In comics Marvel restarted its line and called it Ultimate. I was originally going with...

    D&D 5E (2014) Mythic Odysseys of Theros

I have been off twitter for over a month due to politics

D&D General For the Love of Greyhawk: Why People Still Fight to Preserve Greyhawk

And since I guess I need to prove my joke... god what happened on enworld... In the USA, the average age at which women bore their first child advanced from 21.4 years old in 1970 to 26.9 in 2018. So if a young woman was 9 playing in 1985 and she would on average have her first child between...

D&D General For the Love of Greyhawk: Why People Still Fight to Preserve Greyhawk

What does antidotes have to do with getting old... did someone somehow live from 1985 until now and NOT age 35 years!?!

D&D General For the Love of Greyhawk: Why People Still Fight to Preserve Greyhawk

The bad news is we got old... I may not have kids but I know more people (who were playing in 2eeras) have kids in high school or college then have kids in middle school or younger... Now the fact that half of us don’t have kids at all screws with the idea

D&D General For the Love of Greyhawk: Why People Still Fight to Preserve Greyhawk

My understanding it is “more limited” as it’s selling point.

D&D General For the Love of Greyhawk: Why People Still Fight to Preserve Greyhawk

I have some bad news for you... (And me I am old). The people I introduced to 2e in the 90s who got married and had kids have 20 year olds now... and the guy (who I miss) who was playing in college before I was born used to call me kid... I wonder if he would have called these guys kid or...

    D&D 5E (2014) The New D&D Book: Tasha's Cauldron of Everything!

I am a little bummed that it is pitched as a one off change to race to make a special individual snowflake when I was hoping there would be rules for making different whole sociology structures... it may still have usefulness for the DM but it didn’t sound so in that interview.
  19. DnD Warlord

    D&D 5E (2014) Mythic Odysseys of Theros

This is where we disagree I do not know the intent beyond what has been written and talked about... please tell me did you talk to a writer to find out this intent, or just make it up? Also do you rule Chill Touch does not stop the regen of Trolls, since we can guess the intent is to make...

    D&D 5E (2014) Mythic Odysseys of Theros

Both. I DM weekly and have since about 2000, but even before that I had lots of 2e games I ran... right now we’ll still in lock down I am playing in 1 bi weekly Roll20 campaign but at begging of year I was running 2 games a week and playing every week... I CAN as a DM (and do quite often) make...
