    D&D 5E (2014) Legends & Lore 03.10.2014: Full-spellcasting Bard

Pretty much all of that can easily be done with a Rogue using the correct background and either Multiclassing or a few feats. I think making the Bard a full caster with its own spell list (which is likely, since even the Sorcerer is getting his own list) can open a lot of possibilities and...

    D&D 5E (2014) Legends & Lore 03.10.2014: Full-spellcasting Bard

Then we have different definitions. I consider "full spellcasters" those that have a full table of spell slots, instead of a very limited number of slots.

    D&D 5E (2014) A $20 Starter Set. Cool!

Agreed! Cut out all the "optional" parts of the game (like feats), hardwire the subclasses into the main classes (so the cleric is a Life cleric, the Fighter is the simple one [Warrior, was it?], the rogue is a thief, and the wizards is a... evoker, I guess?), with reduced spell lists. But I'd...

    D&D 5E (2014) Legends & Lore 03.10.2014: Full-spellcasting Bard

Based on Mike's L&L on the Warlock, it's very much *not* a full caster.

    D&D 5E (2014) Warlock's Revealed in Livestream

That is a perfectly viable backstory for any warlock, whether 3e, 4e or (I presume) DDN. When you chosee a pact, "you" here might mean "the player", but in-game it's actually a centuries-old pact being enforced against the character's wishes. This could be specially true for good-aligned...

    D&D 5E (2014) Warlock's Revealed in Livestream

I reckon he'd fit as a warlock. I wouldn't label him as heroic, more of an anti-hero. A heroic warlock (who makes a pact in exchange for abilities beyind those of mortal men) remind me a bit of:

    D&D 5E (2014) Warlock's Revealed in Livestream

Who's that "a game built around warlocks"? It's a striclty chivalrous Arthurian setting, and I adapted a warlock to its milieu. If you give me an example of a campaign that fits your personal taste, I can offer a way to adapt a warlock to it.

    D&D 5E (2014) Warlock's Revealed in Livestream

You could totally have a warlock pledged to the service of the Lady of the Lake, serving the rightful bearer of Excalibur until such time when the sword will be returned to Avalon for safekeeping. Just as a for instance.

D&D 5E (2014) The D&D Next books I'd like to see after the Core

    - A few great, standalone adventures, akin to Sunless Citadel, The Forge of Fury, or Against the Cult of the Reptile God. - A couple of great setting/adventures, akin to Red Hand of Doom, Reavers of Harkenwold or Ghosts of Dragonspear Castle. - Eberron, Greyhawk, Dark Sun, Dragonlance, Red...

    D&D 5E (2014) Wandering Monsters: Campaign Themes

Oh, it's totally a theme. The Voyage of the Princess Ark comes to mind. When I ran MotRD, many (many!) years ago, the theme was "World Tour 1890", with the adventure hooks being just excuses to have the characters in a different location each session.

i09 picks on D&D's 24 most ridiculous names, fails at basic reading

Yep, that's where the article lost me, as well.

    Let's read the entire run

This has been a truly Herculean effort, (un)reason! Congrats, and thanks for all the fish... er, reviews!

D&D 5E (2014) Is there any hope of seeing ToB style maneuvers in 5e?

"Complex martial characters" was one of the biggest hits in 4e, so I think the concept will likely be in DDN in some form.

    D&D 5E (2014) Wizard's at will damage cantrips concern

"Hey, Presto, your spells seem to fizzle in front of that orc archer who's peppering us with arrows. Why don't you ask him if he could take a couple of steps forward so you don't feel left out?" Works both ways, mate.

    D&D 5E (2014) Wizard's at will damage cantrips concern

Well, for one thing, anyone using ammunition is wise to buy a whole damn lot (say, 60?) and keep replacing the sheafs. Secondly, that 50-foot-ray of frost is good for exactly zero against an enemy 51 feet away (possibly shooting back crossbow bolts, arrows or even rocks). As I said upthread...

    D&D 5E (2014) Wizard's at will damage cantrips concern

In a siege, an infinite 50-foot-range, 1d8-damage ray of frost seems somewhat inferior to a 80/320-foot-range, 1d8 damage light crossbow. The spell's range would barely reach the base of a curtain wall, let alone the bulk of a sieging army. If the crossbow-toting wizard stays out of sight, he...
