Lone Wolf I: Shadows on the Dorn

Scroll in tow, Jesabela hits the ground and flees into the streets surrounding the inn. Thankfully for the citizens of Ragadorn, the streets are mostly empty. As expected, the Helghast takes off after the pirate. Her ability to lose herself in urban settings comes in handy, and she hears a...

Resurrection City IV: Et In Arcadia Ego

"Seems clear enough a case then, doesn't it?" Vaughan turns to the patrolman. "Warren, why don't you get a few more men and go round up Sosostris?" After the patrolman leaves, Vaughan paces around the room to the shelving along the wall. "Disgusting mess this is," he says, peering at the...

Resurrection City IV: Et In Arcadia Ego

The patrolman nods at Diggory's words and heads outside. The Gypsy follows suit, resuming his place outside the door. After several moments, the patrolman returns with a rotund middle-aged man, a cigar clamped between his teeth, who speaks with an American accent. "G'day...

    [Jan05] What are you reading?

The Hour of the Dragon by Robert E. Howard. It's within Bloody Crown of Conan, but it's a book in its own right, so bah! Next up, I too will start my first foray into The Black Company. Picked up Ancient Sorceries and Other Weird Stories by Algernon Blackwood, so I'll likely be doing some...

    Versus

Aye! How I want to see the real Toho Godzilla stomp all up and down the rear of the crappy Matthew Broderick Godzilla. An OK movie that was, I guess, but had no right being called Godzilla. If it was Godzilla, where was Ghidorah? Or even Megalon? ;)

    Great barbarian quotes

The motto on the heraldric crest of my Welsh ancestors is some great barbarian words. Translated from Latin, "Life is short, glory is forever". Said during the climactic battle in a campaign or shortly before some amazing act of valor, I reckon.

How did you spend your New years?

Drunk and reminiscing about old high school stories like the time this guy got knocked out with a skateboard.

What Should I Spend My Money On?

Well, I have copious amounts of Christmas money and want to pick up some RPG books and a few movies with it. I've already got the movies picked out, but what do y'all suggest for books? So far, I have the Iron Kingdoms Character Guide and Primer (if you should buy both--is one just an update...

    Conan & lone wolf

Brings up something that always struck me about Lone Wolf. You amost have to be a pre-existing fan of the series and the world (which I am). IMHO, from the outside, there's not really too much to make Magnamund stand apart from any other FRPG setting.

    Conan & lone wolf

Lone Wolf has three books so far: the main RPG book, The Darklands (gazetteer), and Magic of Magnamund (class book of spellcasters)

Gomez's Masks of Nyarlathotep Game: OOC

Isida Kep'Tukari Wanted to let you know that, by some weird chance of fate or coincidence, the timing on Miriam's development of psychic powers in 1893 coincides with a certain something that's going to happen in my Resurrection City campaign, which is set in 1893. And that certain something...

[Ravenloft] Grand Conjunction I: Night of the Walking Dead

In the distance, you can see a twinkling light - a village, or at least a settlement. Of the new companions, the ones more knowledgable in the ways of the wild judge the village to be only about two miles away. You begin sloshing towards the settlement, and hopefuilly you will reach it by...

Resurrection City IV: Et In Arcadia Ego

When Diggory pokes his head out the door, he finds to his surprise the Gypsy bodyguard, Gorgo, sitting nonchalantly on his bench outside the door. He looks shocked when he is told about the murder of Ferencz. He says that he did not see Madame Sosostris approaching, although he did not lose...

Masks of Nyarlathotep: Chapter 1 (New York City)

"Quite comfortable, thank you," William says to N'kwane. Now's not the time for sarcasm, William, he thinks as N'kwane and the other captors leave. After they're out of the room, he calls up to the lieutenant. "Lt. Poole! Are you alright, man?" ((ooc: this, of course, assumes he seems in...

    [Eberron][CoC]Ex Oblivion, Eberron!

Foolish me hadn't thought when making the guy that a Van Helsing and a necromancer probably won't be the best of friends...but that can make things interesting, no? ;) Adamantine, I'll update my Rogue's Gallery entry tonight.
