    Savage Lankhmar!

On Google+ Pinnacle just posted a screen shot of the title page for one of their current projects: Lankhmar! https://plus.google.com/+Peginc/posts I can't find information on this anywhere else. Not on their site or on their forums even. Not right now anyway.

New Cooperative D&D Video Game Allows a DM To Run The Adventure

Agreed, this is not a VTT in any way. Couldn't you use one of the old Baldur's Gate games to make dungeons and have players go through them? Maybe the only big innovation here is the "live" part. Still, it'll be interesting to see where it winds up.

    The One Ring Roleplaying Game

5 out of 5 rating for The One Ring Roleplaying Game Incredibly high production values, amazing art, and best of all an incredibly evocative ruleset, I wouldn't look at any other game for running adventures in Middle Earth. The rules are so simple and yet so deep, and capture specifically the...

GM Screen Modification that also benefits Players [video]

That is a fantastic idea! Very impressive!

LOTR RPG vs The One Ring

For those wanting to take a look at TOR, and who don't mind electronic copies (at least to start with), there's a bundle currently (as of Jan 9) on sale that has the core book, the Laketown set, and Tales of Wilderland (adventure book) all for fifteen bucks. It's an amazing price. And if you...

    Rivendell

5 out of 5 rating for Rivendell Rivendell is a fantastic add-on to the already impressive line of One Ring books from Cubicle 7. With production values that make the book almost as much collectible as reference, this volume opens up the Middle Earth setting geographically, culturally, and with...

Best (but simple) Superhero Game out?

I loved the superhero companion for Savage Worlds. Just reading through it always gives me great ideas!

    Crafting an Adventure Module Format

In Fantasy Grounds you can pre set up encounters, pre-populate the combat tracker, pre-type the flavor text (and then just drag-drop it into the chat window), and have all the GM information right there of course. You can then have NPC's can be opened from a list, or from links in the...

    Fantasy Grounds

5 out of 5 rating for Fantasy Grounds I've been GMing with Fantasy Grounds since I bought it at GenCon 2006. It's been a fantastic way to keep our gaming group alive and kicking without worrying about anything other than timezones. My 50 Fathoms Savage Worlds game last Sunday had four people...

    Fantasy RPGs for Kids

I've not played the Dungeon board game unfortunately; maybe someone else can speak to that question. It sounds like you're heading down a good road! Have fun! :)

    Fantasy RPGs for Kids

I did the Dungeons & Dragons Fantasy Adventure board game with my daughters at that age (6 and 7) and we had a great time. It has figures, premade adventures, and you can carry advancement to the next adventure. They kept their character cards in their rooms for a good long time because they...

    How is fate?

Trappings in Savage Worlds would handle most, if not all of those. Savage Worlds just provides the basic statistics for something like a magical Bolt attack, but the character and GM work together to decide how it manifests in game. So Bolt on the Bard might be a sonic attack guitar chord...

Feng Shui 2 Kickstarter - Last 29 Hours!

Over a thousand backers! Holy smokes! Ten bucks for the core book PDF is a steal, even without anything that might get added as stretch goals.

Feng Shui 2 Kickstarter - Last 29 Hours!

I'm in as a backer, and figured I come here to see if anyone had posted it yet. Glad to see a thread already! We've had some excellent times playing the first one, and Feng Shui 2 looks to be even better. :)

Science Fiction Companion - Colony-based Campaign

You should take a look at the Broken Earth setting for Savage Worlds. Part of the setting is adopting a community or colony and helping it to grow, that being an important part of survival in a post apocalyptic wasteland. As I understand it this is done through the players earning Edges for...

    Focus after a Translation

I probably shouldn't be replying, as I just discovered The Strange and don't have the PDF, but I remembered reading this page on the web site: http://www.montecookgames.com/translation-between-worlds/ That SEEMS to indicate that the focus would be locked. But it doesn't come right out and say...

    Best Science Fiction RPGs

The current Bundle of Holding has what looks to be a stellar (get it?!) deal on a SciFi game called "Stars Without Number". I don't know anything about the game, but it might be worth checking out. http://bundleofholding.com/index/current

[Gentleman Bastards] System for Renaissance Heists?

Perhaps something like GUMSHOE that has a Preparation skill. I think you'd have to have some way for the characters to say "ah, but that's the guard I bribed yesterday", or "good thing I was ready for this and hid the lockpicks behind the loose brick in the cell". Some way for them to change...

Which Game Would YOU Choose for Wil Wheaton's Tabletop RPG Spinoff?

Savage Worlds. They can then pick a setting they want, or even multiple settings with only one ruleset. I think Savage Worlds would also fit nicely in to a situation where they might have to get a lot done in a short time in game.
