NORTHLANDS - 900 Pages Of Adventure for PATHFINDER and S&W

That's just way too much adventure for me! It's a good deal for its price, but I can't possibly imagine myself using (or even stealing and repurposing) anywhere close to 900 pages of adventure.

    A Spooky Open Call

To all submitting, rest easy until mid-September. Two articles will be commissioned then, and two others later to let everyone submit by September 30th. (This editor sheepishly realizes there are not, in fact, 31 days in September.)

    Absolutely correct. Proposals first, please!

    A Spooky Open Call

I've already received a record number of submissions from this open call. Even better than EN5ider's busy first month! And they're all so good, too... The competition is gonna be fierce. Thanks for making my job so tough this season! :)

EN5ider #30: Over The Next Hill - The Village of Drood

The next article in the series, detailing a town named Rivereave, will have a map of that settlement. Drood is described mostly in terms of its people and their schemes, not its physical locations. --Editor

Sword Coast Adventurer’s Guide: The First Official D&D 5E Setting

Color me excited! I'm a little surprised this announcement wasn't saved for GenCon. Makes me wonder what Wizards has up their sleeve for August.

Unearthed Arcana Psionics Hits Unearthed Arcana

I get the feeling that someone uploaded a rough draft instead of the actual document. Hopefully they'll reupload later today. EDIT: Ninja'd by Morrus!

Are You a D&D 5TH EDITION Or PATHFINDER RPG Fan?

Since patrons can put a monthly cap on their patronage, it skews the numbers in a way that's invisible to everyone but Morrus. It's also based on things like workflow, man-hours required to create and finalize content... We also don't consider one to be more important than the other. I have a...

    D&D 5E (2014) Release Schedule 5. Edition?

I don't want to turn this thread into another endless debate about the pros and cons of a slow release schedule, but... Wizards of the Coast has stated that 5th edition isn't going to flood the market with a new splatbook every month. The slower release schedule is intended to decrease rules...

Don't Wake Dretchlor: An adventure for characters of 5th-7th level

Michael Tumey was the cartographer for this adventure. I only have his finished maps, but you can get in touch with him here: https://plus.google.com/114973083292759962208/posts

Don't Wake Dretchlor: An adventure for characters of 5th-7th level

From what I know of him, author Kiel Chenier always writes with tongue firmly in cheek. The reference was 100% intentional.

Don't Wake Dretchlor: An adventure for characters of 5th-7th level

It's really brutal. Dretchlor isn't supposed to be a creature you fight mano a mano. The mansion is littered with deactivated traps to ensnare him while the PCs run away and devise a plan. The Relics that you can find and destroy will weaken him, too.

    D&D 5E (2014) Odd-numbered ability scores

Eh, too complex for my blood. If your group wants the granularity, it looks pretty solid, though.

    D&D 5E (2014) Custom Monster HPs

This disparity is most noticeable at LOW levels. It's because a CR X monster doesn't have Offensive CR X and Defensive CR X. They tend to be either especially offensive (O-CR X+3 and D-CR X-3) or vice-versa. Low level enemies are intended to hit hard and die fast. Their Offensive CR is much...
