That's just way too much adventure for me! It's a good deal for its price, but I can't possibly imagine myself using (or even stealing and repurposing) anywhere close to 900 pages of adventure.
To all submitting, rest easy until mid-September. Two articles will be commissioned then, and two others later to let everyone submit by September 30th. (This editor sheepishly realizes there are not, in fact, 31 days in September.)
I've already received a record number of submissions from this open call. Even better than EN5ider's busy first month! And they're all so good, too... The competition is gonna be fierce. Thanks for making my job so tough this season! :)
The next article in the series, detailing a town named Rivereave, will have a map of that settlement. Drood is described mostly in terms of its people and their schemes, not its physical locations.

It's really brutal. Dretchlor isn't supposed to be a creature you fight mano a mano. The mansion is littered with deactivated traps to ensnare him while the PCs run away and devise a plan. The Relics that you can find and destroy will weaken him, too.
This disparity is most noticeable at LOW levels. It's because a CR X monster doesn't have Offensive CR X and Defensive CR X. They tend to be either especially offensive (O-CR X+3 and D-CR X-3) or vice-versa. Low level enemies are intended to hit hard and die fast. Their Offensive CR is much...
How do you find work as a freelancer? Do you scour Kickstarter pages, or are most of your ideas published through open calls? You mentioned networking at conventions; beyond GenCon, what are some of your favorite gaming conventions as an industry professional?
