No, I imagine it is not a business failure for WotC. It is a misstep for me to purchase as much content in the future. This will become moot as D&D products become more tied to D&D Beyond with expanded online content and digital tokens/miniatures.

I like the design space of feats as character abilities not tied to class. I hope they embrace it. Feat bloat would be preferable to sub-class bloat.
