And you missed my point and why Sailor Moon's point is invalid in this case.
No matter what, at the end of the day Sailor Moon does not have access to how people are reacting to DnD and isn't sitting back and looking at first-hand data as to how it's selling. That's information only WotC has...
And my point, at the beginning, was that the artwork should serve a purpose. And to give the artist some consideration that certain purposes may not serve the game product's interests well. However, the OP has since posted what the product will be and the style of artwork, the nudity in the case...
A scroll of protection is a magic item that contains magical power which anyone who can read a language can activate. It does not store a spell.
It's... you know how in a lot of manga, there are these pieces of paper with Japanese writing on them that can be applied/burned to have an effect...
IIRC, Eberron has repeatedly hinted that its planes and moons are directly connected and may even be the same thing.
So, I think maybe Eberron will be one of the worlds reachable through the Far Realm? It wouldn't be that difficult to justify.
Well, I'm excited about this! I want to see how they handle warforged; those are kinda key to a homebrew campaign I've been working on. One which, ironically, may be less of a headache in 5E.
If you're looking for cosmic rules to justify anything about human society, you're doing life wrong.
There's no cosmic rule that anything about human society must exist. In fact, by cosmic rules, art shouldn't exist since it serves no purpose in relation to the physics that keep the universe...
In the space of logic that makes up the entirety of intellectual property law and the space of logic that makes up the majority of regular property law. And both of those are based on legal concepts going back thousands of years.
So, in other words, the space of logic that exists in the very...
To be honest, I had no intentions of arguing with what you said on the first page; as far as I was concerned, it wasn't my place to consider your advice.
And then someone had to argue with you about it, and here we are 18 pages later...
I've noticed that WotC and Paizo have slightly different design styles, as well as different ideas about balance. I'm actually not certain the two working together at this point is a good thing; their differences may actually translate to being worse products.
Really, it's an area where the two...
It is a personal hypothesis. I know a lot of Savage Worlds fans I've talked to are former GURPS players. In general, I get the feeling the two have almost the same customer base, with Savage Worlds designed under a new game design paradigm.
I never knew a barbarian who would play with less than 18 at start, and quite a few liked to use racials to bump it up to 20. Having such a big hit die generally meant you could afford to not invest as much into Constitution.
I never seen a rogue manage to use stealth attacks anywhere near the...
Shadowrun is on 5th Edition, and it's a newly-released edition. They don't even have all of their core books out yet. And their 4th Edition lasted for 8 years.
Checked. GURPs is still on 4th, and has been for ten years. I think that's why Savage Worlds is gobbling up its market.
A raging strength of 22 by level 5 is kinda low for a barbarian.
Also, you're relying on getting sneak attack damage every time. In actual play, this never happened; if anything, you were lucky to get sneak attack damage half the time. There were groups that never used the sneak attack...
Compared to the druid, wizard, paladin, barbarian, cleric... Plus, in 3E, finesse weapons really didn't exist and those that did tended to be too low in damage to be worth it.
Keep in mind that, in 3E at least, the fighter also sucked.
In my opinion, the rapid release of these topics is leading to a quality decline and discussion bloat. I mean, quite clearly you can see how this topic doesn't fit neatly into the argument set brought about by the others! You're going to need pages and pages of errata to bring this into line!
