As a GM, How Often Do You Fudge Dice Rolls?

I find it depends entirely on why I'm fudging them. For example, I have had a few times where a commoner that was intended for pure humor would attack a PC and I'd roll a natural 20 and then confirm crit. Right about then, I usually fudge it as though I confirmed a critical failure instead and...

D&D 5E (2014) OK WotC, I've had just about enough of this...

One of the things I suspect they're doing is a wait-and-see. In previous editions, they were always rushing forward; 3E suffered for this a bit due to them rushing out 3.5 revisions in 3E books, and I heard the end of the 3.5 product line started to rush in some 4E stuff. This time around, I...

    Nazi Super-Cows!

Maybe this was the precursor to the serum that created Captain America and led to the rise of HYDRA?

D&D 5E (2014) Players Killing Players for stupid reason

The best part is the barbarian would survive the explosion at higher levels, pop into rage immediately, and begin to slaughter.

D&D 5E (2014) Characters that annoy you (and/or the players who play them)

I find the various ways they are implemented to be incredibly irritating in some manner. I'm certain there's a good implementation of them somewhere, but I don't feel like spending the weeks hunting it down.

    D&D 5E (2014) T1: The Village of Hommlet (OOC)

I would be interested in either! Do you want the characters on official WotC character sheets?

D&D 5E (2014) Players Killing Players for stupid reason

We brought people back from the dead often. So often that, at one point, we made enemies of the religion devoted to the god of death; our revolving-door style of dying and coming back became seen as a mockery of their faith. We probably could have used the summon monster spells. We were not...

D&D 5E (2014) Traps for DMs to Avoid

Just as long as he doesn't have to loki over his shoulder for GM reprisal. That would get odin fast.

    D&D 5E (2014) T1: The Village of Hommlet (OOC)

I'm very interested. Is this going to be just DnD 5E rules? I will admit this would be my first 5E game, so if that is a potential detriment, I will understand.

D&D 5E (2014) Characters that annoy you (and/or the players who play them)

Drizzt clones. They tend to suffer. I've been told the chat logs of what I did to one in an online game is what inspired the SAW movies. Gnomes are also on my list. I'm pretty okay with a lot of drow characters. Drow paladins are fun to see.

D&D 5E (2014) Players Killing Players for stupid reason

My 3E group named our adventuring party the Zerglings. PC deaths, even by other PCs, were common. A favorite tactic? Designate a backpack the Expendable Kit. The PC who wore it was expendable for that dungeon. The backpack was filled with alchemist's fire. The PC wearing it would charge into...

D&D 5E (2014) Traps for DMs to Avoid

Me: "And a pair of black leather pants, with pockets on the..." DM: "I get it! Your clothes have a lot of pockets! Moving on!" Four sessions later... Me: "Okay, I pull the dagger out of one of my pockets..." DM: "Wait... That's thirty daggers now. How many friggin' pockets do you have? Where...

How do you feel about nudity in RPG books?

I think the important question is to ask yourself what purpose the nudity serves. In general, nudity needs to have a purpose when included in a gaming material. It has to serve a specific purpose that is easily seen and understood. Otherwise, you risk serious misunderstanding.

Deciding the starting points for generating a character are too few and upping it. This can unexpectedly tilt things in the favor of the PCs.

    D&D 5E (2014) Copper piece value in U.S. dollars?

That's my thought as well, but that 2sp is the only figure we have. And it makes sense from a historical context, as noted by Sword of Spirit on page 4. Or doing too much and in dire need of a vacation.

    D&D 5E (2014) Copper piece value in U.S. dollars?

Sword of Spirit brought up a fair point on the 1sp per day: It's a typo. That means the accurate pay is later on, where it's stated to be 2sp per day. That puts the lifestyle at Poor instead of Squallid. I would also state that the lifestyle costs are actually higher for adventurers than they...

    D&D 5E (2014) Copper piece value in U.S. dollars?

Well, crap. You just invalidated the last... two to three pages of my posts. Will need to go back and see what I can salvage of what I was saying.
