"The Critical Hit Show" is going to be there again on Aug. 27 (Wednesday, next week) , if you want to give that a go. I keep meaning to try and arrange to hit it on one of my trips to Seattle, by driving up there for a couple of days, but things just never seem to line up for me.
I read "Imajica", and a couple of his other books, but I just couldn't get into Barker. It just felt like he never got over his adolescent sex fantasies. I have pretty much the same problem with Anne Rice.
Even with current tech you can have the camera on a police helicopter follow a specific vehicle. I would guess that current larger drones would be capable of the same. Set and forget, then repurpose on the fly.

Oddly enough, three of my past employers no longer exist and my manager manager at a 4th, that stopped producing and selling computers but kept up producing general household electronics, tried getting my job a few months after I saw the writing on the wall and got out.
