We used Star Wars Saga Edition for a Mass Effect universe game and it did pretty well. Biotic powers were just replaced with Force powers. But I'm not sure it would be too good a fit for Star Trek considering how non-combaty Star Trek tends to be compared to Star Wars (or even Mass Effect).

I think, for a lot of people, it made a good first impression after all the moaning about Jar Jar and the Phantom Menace. But I don't think it's a lasting impression, particularly not when you actually delve into it and give it some thought. Then it really does suffer.

You could index the results "Weakling" "Puny Gnome" "Mighty Goblin" "Powerful Bugbear" "OGRE STRENGTH" or something like that by the results of the Strength check. Fail the base DC by more than 5 or so, you get Weakling. Fail by less: Puny Gnome. Barely succeed: Might Goblin. Succeed by 5...

There can be a significant difference between a teacher who also coaches and a coach who also teaches.
