    What feats are "missing"?

I really like this feat work up. Take one feat and it gives you all you need for your core concept. Not overpowered, just adding another character concept in one stroke.

D&D 5E (2014) Polearm Master vs Great Weapon Master

Can't decide which I like better for my Bladelock. Thoughts? I plan on starting fighter 1 then multiclassing Warlock. I want to have Armor of Agathys and Hex running most of the time. Polearm allows me to get more uses of Hex. GWM allows me to wail on prone baddies with +10 to damage...

    D&D 5E (2014) Optimal Multiclassing

What are your votes for best one level dip? I vote fighter. Best two level dip? That's easy: warlock.

    What feats are "missing"?

I really miss Arcane Archer. It was awesome sauce. More caster options would be great. What about the play test feat that gave advantage on saves vs spells as a reaction? Spear feat. DEADEYE SLINGER! I'm for any feat that turns subpar weapons cool... Not for optimizers, but dripping in flavor...

D&D 5E (2014) Warlock invocations using spell slots

In actual play, any warlock that took all spells would be giving up 1-2 signature abilities (agonizing blast, tome one, familiar one, thirsting blade, devil's sight). It would be more like three daily spells at 11th. Compulsion, Polymorph, and Slow. Still way behind other casters, but better...

D&D 5E (2014) Warlock invocations using spell slots

I think they would mostly be used by warlocks that wanted a more castery experience. Most warlocks would stick to at will invocations, after all that is one of the main attractions of the class. I know that I can't wait for 9th level when I can start Jumping everywhere with my blade lock.

D&D 5E (2014) Warlock invocations using spell slots

I'm house ruling they don't burn slots but are cast at the same level as your existing slots. Anyone see any problem balance wise for this approach?

    Mine's in my briefcase.

D&D 5E (2014) Warlock invocations using spell slots

For what it's worth, my warlock will use at wills because I prefer them to dailies. I'm mostly just perplexed.

D&D 5E (2014) Warlock invocations using spell slots

Yeah. Giving up an at will for a daily is a great case of playstyle balance. Just remove the spell slot expenditure and it works.

D&D 5E (2014) Warlock invocations using spell slots

I really think it is a mistake and will get errata'd

D&D 5E (2014) Warlock invocations using spell slots

Making them act like dailies would make the warlock somewhat balanced vs a wizard

D&D 5E (2014) Warlock invocations using spell slots

It is not really a playstyle thing. It is crazy unbalanced in a way that is unlike most of the rest of the book

D&D 5E (2014) Warlock invocations using spell slots

It just seems like the true balanced implementation is as daily spells like the Mystic Arcanum spells.

D&D 5E (2014) Warlock invocations using spell slots

It seems like the invocations that use spell slots should be cast at spell slot level without actually burning one of the two slots. This would allow one to create a more castery warlock with a mix of encounter spells and daily spells. It also supports the AEDU format from level one. Bane as an...

    D&D 5E (2014) Hexblade (Warlock/Paladin)

    That is the consensus

    D&D 5E (2014) 2-Hander Style and Extra Dice

Really good point. It starts weaker and gets better with goodies. I'm sold. I my gut instinct is to be a restrictive DM, so I tend to take the narrower ruling. I should prolly be more permissive with 5ed considering how much relies on damage / lots of HP.

    D&D 5E (2014) 2-Hander Style and Extra Dice

Jadrax -- are you positive thus is the "official" ruling?

    D&D 5E (2014) 2-Hander Style and Extra Dice

I would rule the same, in a vacuum. If it would cause a fight with my player, I would go the other way to avoid drama. The RAW sure do point to applying to all dice. Sorta like Rogues sneak attack crits.
