I like what I am seeing. Just curious to see how they will be laid out on the books themselves. If these represent a wrap around, it will come off real awkward for the heroes book, as the dynamic portion with the recognizable characters would be on the back cover to make the spread work...

Not a fan of the cards being crowdfunded in that it means the turn around time on them will be longer. I get that there are cost reasons to do it this way, but if there is a crunch occurring this early on, it is distressing. But then again, while I do want new product on shelves before years...

Truth be told, OA wasn't aimed at Asian markets. It was squarely aimed at the core US gamer base and it of course shows for the time.

So I am curious. This is labeled as a Chaosium product on a WotC platform. Curious to know how much Chaoium worked on this or is it just brand synergy?

I picked up Sany Peterson's Cthulhu Mythos a couple years ago which seems much more exhaustive than this. So even though I'm an avid CoC player, probably not picking this one up anytime soon.

The chips I got when visiting my Grandmother, made in beef tallow, which always ran the risk of burning down her kitchen, were objectively the best. Skinned potato, soaked in water then thick cut, dried, and into the fryer. Not from frozen. Closest match is the steak fries. But yeah, best chips.

I think the better measure is being a successful professional GM, as in, you successfully get clients who pay you with some regularity. That that is about more than learning to be a GM.

So some more on this. My misgivings are mostly as an educator. Obviously this isnt actually a Uni course with proper rigor or depth. It's only 4 days long. It's a seminar. Now, I'm not claiming you can't learn thing at a seminar. I just don't think it is much more than another DnD vacation...
