I've been using a 22" widescreen touch screen, mounted on a monitor stand directly to the table, at my DMing seat for about 3 years now. About half my group brings a smartphone, PC, or tablet for google docs / DDI compendium access, but the great majority still use physical character sheets...

In my 4e game our houserule is that people who use aid another can contribute their +2 or their d20 result, whichever improves the task leader's result the most. It gets used pretty frequently.

Seconding Neverwinter Campaign Guide. More adventure hooks per square inch than any book I've ever seen. Pretty easy to adapt it to a different world if you're not into FR, too.

But until that point you're going to have to call it "The D&D that was released in 2014" as opposed to 4th edition or 3rd edition.

Can't say I'm a fan of simply naming it "Dungeons and Dragons." I can see a lot of confusion for novices getting into the game. "Next" "Unity Edition" "5th Edition" "Heritage" "Legacy" "Revenge of the Flumph" or just about anything else would've been preferable to me. Art looks great though.

4e did a great job at removing the "I win" buttons, but it remains to be seen if 5e will keep a tight leash on player power, or if it gets looser as time goes on. Some people see that as a feature.
