D&D 5E (2024) They butchered the warlock in the new packet

That’s not fair. I like Warlocks, and am playing one now. But I didn’t like being so dependent on Short Rests for my spells. I got to the point where I stopped using them unless it was a clear game changer (like when I could drop Hunger of Hadar and change the fight). I’m definitely...

D&D 5E (2024) New One D&D Playtest Includes 5 Classes & New Weapon Mastery System

Okay, I’ve given a quick skim. I’m coming from a position of someone who (as a player) is mostly familiar with fighters and warlocks. So far, I’m happy with what I’m seeing. Weapon Mastery looks great, and I’m glad you aren’t locked in to your choice. I’ve got no qualms with the Fighter at...

    D&D 5E (2024) Take A Closer Look At The 2024 Dungeon Master’s Guide

It just feels to me like you are white-rooming an absolute worst case scenario I would never expect to see. I can’t imagine having a group where: 1) no one talks to anyone ever before the game starts 2) no one has any idea this is a cooperative game (new players are probably being introduced...

Slow page load speeds (esp. for included images and fonts)

It's definitely been a lot more sluggish than I'm used to, both on mobile devices and my desktop. I can't help pinpoint it, but just adding my voice to the chorus.

    D&D 5E (2024) Take A Closer Look At The 2024 Dungeon Master’s Guide

I have to say, I've been wondering that myself. A lot of potential issues that are brought up leave me wondering, who the heck are you all playing with? And why? Not just this issue, but the concerns over "what do I do when someone shows up with a 2014 druid in my 2024 game?" and the like...

    Mando season 3

At least Vader didn’t totally forget about the clones he had stored outside…:)

    "The Marvels" - Teaser

Also, saying She-Hulk got a lot of dislikes doesn't exactly disprove the "it's all about girl cooties" theory...:)

    D&D Movie/TV D&D Movie Hit or Flop?

That’s hard to say. We know they covered 50% of the cost, it we don’t know any details on the revenue split. It’s possible that it was contracted that Paramount got a larger share of the revenue up to a certain point, to ensure they didn’t lose money. Pure speculation, but it’s not outside...

D&D 5E (2024) New One D&D Weapons Table Shows 'Mastery' Traits

Fair enough. Now that I think about it, I'm coming from a position of Battlemaster, so my perception will be skewed a little.

D&D 5E (2024) New One D&D Weapons Table Shows 'Mastery' Traits

I’m assuming you mean interesting and engaging outside of combat? As someone who does play fighters, I would have thought interesting and engaging are character traits, not mechanics. Personally, mechanically, I’ve never had a problem getting a fighter to engage with non-combat aspects of the...

D&D General A King with A Common Born wife has A 20 month old common born niece that he's very fond of, when the niece is orphaned could he adopt her?

I’m assuming any king who has a bunch of polymorphed good dragons as bodyguards can pretty much do whatever he pleases. Or is this a different kingdom we’re talking about?

    "The Marvels" - Teaser

It definitely looks like fun! I’m more excited for this than I was for the last few. But yeah, I can’t believe there’s already videos popping up about how it was ‘trash’. Gotta get those hate clicks, I guess :(

D&D General A King with A Common Born wife has A 20 month old common born niece that he's very fond of, when the niece is orphaned could he adopt her?

Well, in that case, I’d say whoever was enforcing those rules are the ones you need to ask about the original adoption.

D&D 5E (2024) New One D&D Weapons Table Shows 'Mastery' Traits

You’re making it sound like this is an across-the-board change. It’s currently two weapons (I think…haven’t counted lately), and limited to a small subsection of the classes. I don’t think it’s going to cause the sort of huge ripples you are picturing.

D&D General A King with A Common Born wife has A 20 month old common born niece that he's very fond of, when the niece is orphaned could he adopt her?

Sure, unless she was a hamster. Or would that still work? If she was a common-born hamster that had been previously adopted by the sister-in-law, would the king then be able to adopt said hamster? Is there anything in the constitution that prohibits hamster adoption?

D&D General A King with A Common Born wife has A 20 month old common born niece that he's very fond of, when the niece is orphaned could he adopt her?

As before, if the fictional inheritance laws of this fictional country say so, then yes.

D&D General Kobold Press Going Down a Dark Road

But..that doesn't mean they are. And isn't "suffer comparatively little" by doing so the direct opposite of this entire discussion about demographics? I thought the whole argument was they were ignoring older gamers, and were fools to do so, because we are the majority? Edit again (sorry)...

D&D General Kobold Press Going Down a Dark Road

Of course, neither of us knows how many of us are on either side of this. But I guarantee that WoTC knows. And considering how well 5e is still selling after all this time, I'm willing to be that they know what they are doing. Edit: And I know in the past you've talked about how you don't...

D&D General Kobold Press Going Down a Dark Road

And this is the other answer that we usually get. "Stop ignoring older gamers!" "How are they doing that?" "By shifting away from older gamers!" When in practice, it seems to be more "They're not doing what I like, and I totally represent all the older gamers.". I'm pretty sure you don't.
