I thought more people would be in to this idea! Where are all the people who want monsters to be built under the same system as PCs? Surely they would not mind spending a session to build monsters hit die by hit die?? Where are all the lore head? Is there no better way to learn about the...

That's not a hard problem to figure out. There's obviously a Decanter of Endless Water in there somewhere. Also, you could go ask Ed Greenwood about it. He probably has a page of lore about it got that never got published because most people don't care to ask questions about stuff like that.

Which is why I advocate that D&D needs to purge the weak from our ranks. To return it to it glory days when the strong played how they see fit and the weak were driven from the game.

So how many of you were given a huge sandbox world to explore and ended up becoming farmers or opening a coffee shop instead???

And there are dozens, if not hundreds, of creators out there creating TTRPGs for the love the art instead of to sell. You can always go play those!

Hey Enworlders! I just developed a great new idea that will move D&D forward! How about once every ten (ish) or so sessions is spent completely on writing up NPCs/monsters? Like instead of the characters going to a dungeon or whatever, all the players spend the whole time writing up...

Those rules are vital to creating the feel of D&D! It doesn't matter if players and DMs largely ignore them. It's like how tons of people ignore and don't use Gnomes but threw riots when 4E kicked them out of the first PHB.

They made several classes to cover each niche. A Cleric could heal but a Bard or Warlord could also heal. Both Rouge or Ranger were damage primaries. But it's amazing how much a paragraph in the class description can form how people can view a class.

4E tried to have niche protection and everyone hated it. People don't want to be locked into roles based on class; they want to be whatever fictional concept then envision in their heads.

A good player should be ready for anything; especially when I'm GMing. Difficult combats! Social challenges! Eat a taco topped with cottage cheese and raisins! Bowling! Run a marathon while eating a tuna sandwich every mile! Quote Monty Python! Who knows what I'll come up!?! I sure don't!!!

Well the last time we had the monster creation discussion, I asked for a product that fills the void of more complete monster creation rules and got TotV as the answer.

Hopefully someone somewhere is working on a Uma Musume TTRPG as we speak...
