    Your reply tells me you do not know what the cards are for in the new starter. Go check a video about it. But you are correct on the last point. They are not meant to affect the regular game. They will not be part of the regular game.

    After watching the ebb and flow of the battle at the begining of episode two, the system is growing on me. I liked the unpredictability of activation. I see now how it would be good for solo play. The CR crew were really stressed out.

    Coriolis is Arabian Nights flavour with mysterious 'Alien Gods'. We did a space trucker campaign, and it worked fine. To do true Firefly, you would have to ignore a larger part of what makes the game unique. Better to use another system.

    The uphill battle for any RPG, including D&D, is to get new players in faster than acquired players leaving for another system. Shadowdark needs to go mainstream in hobby shops and on Amazon to sustain growth.
