Thats not a bad solution, unless you like Hit Points. If you like Hit Points Modern20 is a great solution too. However, I really think a 4E derived Modern would be GREAT. Modern settings can have Roles just as well as Fantasy settings. Power Source + Role + Profession = Action Hero!

Yeah, but Expanded Spellbook gives them more choices not more uses of Power, I'd at least make this a Paragon Tier Feat. I'd also drop the Implement Advantage for not needing an Implement Keyword to use powers.

I think page 59 of the DMG discusses it best. Its my only criticism of the DMG. They needed info on Minionizing monsters. Also, don't forget to have 4 minions for 1 standard monster <E>

Since your running a Solo game, I'd probably let her choose the Class Feature she likes best. Give her the decent Hit Points & Healing Surges (maybe the Fighter's for instance) & simply let her pick any Powers from any class. I'd then allow her to choose a Paragon Path from her Original Class...

What I've thought about is allowing an Action Point to give an Encounter Power a Recharge Roll of 3+ & a Daily Power a recharge roll of 5+. I'm not 100% sold on the idea, but I've at least thought about it.
