Itch.io is shadowbanning or deleting NSFW and LGBTQ content

I think we can agree this isn't a legitimate factor. Legally they might be able to get away with it, but that's just an indication that the law needs to change

Then the definition needs to be expanded (ugh. now I have to write to my ----ing congressman too)

The real problem is that for some inexplicable reason the credit card companies aren't yet legally classified as common carriers. They're moving money around for you they should face the same restrictions as people moving freight or data or phone calls around.

Unfortunately my current debit card is a mastercard. Which is annoying because it's currently the main card I use. I'm going to have to talk to my bank and see if they can get me a non-mastercard one, or possibly might even have to find a new bank

Apparently it's because of pressure from the credit card companies again Don't know how much good it'll do but I found a petition https://www.change.org/p/tell-mastercard-visa-activist-groups-stop-controlling-what-we-can-watch-read-or-play In the meantime I'm going to have to look into...

What Game Publishers Are Saying About The Tariffs

They're able ruin those things because people let them. If we didn't immediately stop using things as soon as one of them brushed against it they wouldn't be able to take it. In a way they're not even taking it at all, we're rolling over and giving it to them like Neville Chamberlain. We need to...

American society seems to hit a nadir every 30-40 years. The 1950's were primitive and repressed, and so were the 80's through early 90's. And now it's happening again It's like Ghostface from Scream. New people keep taking up the mantle of the same old evil. That said I'd rather have Ghostface...

    D&D General Discworld alignments

That sounds correct to me. Edit: Do you mean currently or historically or a combination of both? Historically it should probably be higher than 90%. Personally, I tend to view everything prior to around late the 1960's as one continuous dark age.

D&D General I finally like non-Tolkien species for PCs

The essay lost me when it said that the term "Mary-Sue" is sexist. I've heard it used plenty of times for male characters; the claim that it's overwhelmingly or exclusively used for female characters is a strawman

Especially halflings. Gnomes have the kooky mad scientist angle though and that's interesting

    Today I learned +

My other issue is climate change. If climate really is that important to these foods then they need to be monitoring the climate and periodically redrawing the allowed boundries to make sure that they continue to reflect the area with the appropriate climate and not just the area with that name

D&D General I finally like non-Tolkien species for PCs

There's other human shaped dragony things in D&D and the dragonborn, or at least the 3.5e version that I'm most familiar with, are by far the lamest. Draconians are better. So are kobolds. Actually 3.5 had gnomes as a core race too, not just the tolkien standards. I don't get the visceral...
