That's very kind. Though in all modesty, there's not much competition. It's a tiny industry and the number of TTRPG-focused news outlets (outside from ranty D&D YouTube videos of which there are many) is very, very small.

Well, one is dependent on the other. No industry, no hobby. You could argue that people will just continue to play old stuff forever, but that isn't true. 80% of the hobby is D&D, because of the industry created by WotC's marketing and reach. There's no getting around that. Take WotC out of it...
