I mean, not Tom Cruise specifically... but I guess yeah he's the closest to an action hero they have. For what that's worth. Roddy Ho in s5 becomes a much more main character and is just hilarious. He does think he's James Bond. But he's really not.

Why? The point is that they are fake, powerless clerics in a world without gods. The whole point of the story is that she's a cleric (of Mishakal) and brings the gods back to Krynn. These changes add nothing of interest.
