i REALLY hope they don't go the '.5' route ever again. no matter how bad a future edition might be, i really would rather see another full edition than any sort of half assed stopgap.

my first rpg experience was being at the house of a frined of my older brother when i was about six, and stumbling upon the first edition 'monster manual.' i've been hooked ever since.

i just went to go and look up some eberron and forgotten realms articles and all the archives are empty. does anyone know if they're gone for good? or perhaps this is some glitch in the transition?

eh, it makes sense from a marketing perspective to chumps a race of antihero characters with which to further their chumpdom.

i was on there for a few minutes (long enough to find the eberron article i wanted to read last night) but now it appears to be down again. one thing that i find puzzling, is that in the d&dinsider login section, it wouldn't let me log in with my email address and just kept logging me in as 'guest.'

so far, i'm excited. it's going to be interesting being the only person in my gaming group that signs up for d&dinsider.

no matter what else, i hope it has a good deal of backwards compatibility and a nice conversion booklet (hopefully one that encompasses 3/3.5 *and* 1st/2nd ed.)

as a collector, i will definitely be buying the core books at the very least, along with any forgotten realms products. i feel relatively optimistic about 4e, itself, but that may very well change once it's actually out.

since this product is also sold through diamond distribution, is it safe to assume that the original poster refuses to buy anything from any comic shop or local gaming store? or amazon.com? and since they refuse to purchase anything from any seller that sells items condoning drug use, i'm...

in the campaign (forgotten realms) that i play in, we don't have one. but the in eberron game that i run, the player's all work for 'the red nails trading company and mining concern,' and are often referred to simply as 'red nails.'

i'm curious about the 'publisher accounts,' can anyone link me to info about them? (or explain it a bit in detail here... or point me to where it's been explained already, if that's the case?)

well, 'law vs. chaos' is much more interesting to me. 'evil' and 'good' tend to get boring real quick, as do discussions about them.

well, i don't know about 'enough.' fans would want more, but i'd take whatever i could get as far as that goes. however, books like that combined with support through the new digital initiative might be interesting.
