In the 12 years since Numenera was released, we've gotten two editions of Numenera and the core rulebook. It seems a bit hasty to release a 3rd edition already IMHO. I dig the game and all, but does it really need that much tweaking? I'd rather see more content come out for the system.

I would prefer if it were the other way around. Running a sword & sorcery game in Call of Cthulhu could be a hoot. Lethal, but a hoot. And yes, I have Cthulhu Dark Ages, but I think something designed to be more pulpy would be fun.

There's some POD stuff out there. Tiger Paw Press has been working with Heroic Publishing to make sourcebooks for the League of Champions comics. Two books out so far, with a third in the works.

Champions Complete came out in 2019 according to the internets. There's been some new third party stuff that's been fun, with some of it related to Hero's history.

I actually started a new Champions game at the end of last month. ;) No game is ever truly dead. Heck, Lord of Creation came up in my socials feed not too long ago and, for a brief second, made me wish I still had the books. ;)

I wouldn't be surprised to see someone like Modiphius, Monolith, or Free League picking this up. Look at where Conan had landed as far as RPG properties. Would it work in an OSR kind of game? Probably. Should it? I think there are better systems out there and agree to some extent with Paragon...
