D&D 5E (2014) The New D&D Book: Candlekeep Mysteries: 17 Mystery Adventures [UPDATED!]

I don't play MtG, but I actually like the MtG settings they've come out with.

D&D 5E (2014) The March D&D Book Will Be Announced Next Tuesday

I seem to remember someone calling it for Candlekeep. I can’t remember if it was this thread or another. At any rate, good job, whoever it was! I guess I’ll wait for a Dragonlance setting in the second quarter!

D&D 5E (2014) The New D&D Book: Candlekeep Mysteries: 17 Mystery Adventures [UPDATED!]

I have to admit, I’m a bit disappointed by this. I feel like I have enough adventures to last a lifetime. But maybe previews will get me excited, and maybe I could use some of the adventures in my Eberron game that takes place in Sharn. Edit: Also, cool cover.

D&D 5E (2014) The March D&D Book Will Be Announced Next Tuesday

As a Dragonlance fan, I would actually be disappointed in this. I like the story and the first module, but find after that it gets too railroady, and I don't like that the adventure party splits into two storylines. However, I would love to see a setting sourcebook.

D&D 5E (2014) The March D&D Book Will Be Announced Next Tuesday

I feel certain that it will be a settings book. I feel almost certain it will be Dragonlance, but it could be a Forgotten Realm expansion, or Planescape, or Dark Sun. Or maybe another M:tG crossover.

    Starfinder Review: We're No Heroes

The top says the AP is called "Live Free or Die." Its proper title is "Fly Free or Die."

Dragonlance Dragonlance Lawsuit Dismissed Without Prejudice

Okay, I have decided that Dragonlance is going to be the next released setting with novel releases, and I refuse to believe otherwise. I mean this tongue-in-cheek, but it does make me excited that Dragonlance still might have some life in it!

D&D 5E (2014) Revisiting future product predictions (2021 and beyond)

My predictions: Settings: We'll get two of them, Planescape and Ravenloft. Hardcover: Famous Dragon's Book of Stuff (focused on all things draconic) Adventure: A Far Realms-inspired adventure in the Forgotten Realms

Savage Pathfinder Pathfinder Adventure Paths Are Coming To Savage Worlds!

Who knows, though. Maybe 5e is next. My guess is that none of the staff wishes to work on converting APs to other systems so they will depend on 3rd parties. It may be just a matter of time before a 3rd party is willing to convert these APs to 5e and Paizo will give them a license to do so.

    D&D 5E (2014) WotC On Tasha, Race, Alignment: A Several-Year Plan

I feel split on this. In my own games, I like having a diversity of races to roleplay with, without the straight jacket of racial alignment. That’s one reason I like Eberron. I also understand the parallels of racial descriptions (like “savage”) in both fantasy and real life and how such...

Savage Pathfinder Pathfinder Adventure Paths Are Coming To Savage Worlds!

My curiosity is piqued as I love the APs but dislike Pathfinder. Who has played Savage Worlds? What’s it like?

D&D 5E (2014) Traits, Ideals, Bonds, and Flaws

I like the idea of having a subsystem that ties PCs to the setting and inspires players to treat their characters as characters rather than just a series of stats. But it feels that the system in place is a little weak. I may play around with asking players to describe the background or reason...

D&D 5E (2014) Traits, Ideals, Bonds, and Flaws

I am curious about how or if groups use the personality traits, ideals, bonds, and flaws system in their game. I have some thoughts about them, but I wanted to hear from others before I share mine.

    D&D 5E (2014) Tasha: Now on D&D Beyond, Roll20, Fantasy Grounds

I saw that. I was really hoping to play around with the new customization options. Hopefully it will be up soon.

    D&D 5E (2014) Tasha: Now on D&D Beyond, Roll20, Fantasy Grounds

I love the book! I like how you can customize your character more and how it guides you to create your own races, your own particular style of any particular race, sidekicks, and Beast Master Companions. The stuff on race abilities has been needed for a long time. I like the flavor of the new...

    Critical Role Announces Publishing Company

Wow. A lot of speculation here. The End of Wizards! The fall of D&D! So far they're planning to put out a card game and an RPG about magical-wielding gangsters. I enjoy speculation as much as the next guy, but this feels like a stretch. Maybe I'm wrong and someday Mercer will be President...

    D&D 5E (2014) 3 Classic Settings Coming To 5E?

Kender as a drawback? I think not, sir! Dragonlance has many flaws. Chiefly among them being that the setting is so closely tied to the novels that it would be difficult to feel like you aren't side characters of a bigger story. The setting is also a bit...how do I put this...

    D&D 5E (2014) 3 Classic Settings Coming To 5E?

Nope. WotC owns Dragonlance. Sovereign Press had a license with WotC to publish Dragonlance during the 3e period.

    D&D 5E (2014) 3 Classic Settings Coming To 5E?

I don't agree that Dark Sun would require more than one book, and the idea that WotC doesn't own Dragonlance is factually wrong. And honestly, I don't care how "generic fantasy" a setting might be. If there's demand, then WotC will produce it.
