What's your favorite superhero TTRPG and why?

You could do something easy like, you can forgo the normal Yellow result to instead ignore part of the target's armor and maybe a Red result could get through all of it. Probably with some caveats thrown in so Aunt May can't injure Galactus with a steak knife.

What's your favorite superhero TTRPG and why?

Oh if we’re adding card games too, I have to give a shout out to Sentinels of the Multiverse. I even went so far as to print out my favorite fan-created decks and made a couple of my own.

Thanks for taking the time to answer! It actually sounds pretty cool. I’ll definitely have to check it out.

    D&D 5E (2014) Point buy vs roll

Understood. For my groups, we usually have some DM-mediated back and forth to get a basic idea of what everyone's playing ahead of time, just for that integration piece. Thanks for your insight!

    D&D 5E (2014) Point buy vs roll

We see this debate a lot, but here's one thing that I've been curious about: If you prefer random results, do you usually then base your character on the randomness? That is, you don't really have any preconceived notions of what you'll be playing? No judgment, I'm honestly just curious. For...

Level Up (A5E) Roll20 Level up and 5e

I've been running and converting my modules to LevelUp, and I've customized a few Roll20 sheets, so here's my take: As it stands now, you can take a 5e game, use the "copy game" feature and change the character sheet to LevelUp. It will copy the art assets, maps, and names of characters...

Level Up (A5E) Roll20 Level up and 5e

I think you bring up some excellent points. From my own Roll20 experience, the character sheet basically dictates compatibility between multiple games; so I've been able to import vanilla 5e characters to a custom sheet like the "Shaped 5e Sheet" or "Darkest Dungeons Sheet", because they kept...

What's your favorite superhero TTRPG and why?

Yes, I'd also like to check that out when it releases! Another thing about FASERIP that I recall was a downside for some was that attacks did static damage (unless I'm remembering it wrong?). So you either knew exactly how many hits you could land on Green Goblin to take him down, or your...

What's your favorite superhero TTRPG and why?

Well since this thread took a Recovery and is back in action (Champions players should get that reference), why not share some thoughts! My first supers rpg was FASERIP and though I doubt I would play it again without some modern design sensibilities bolted on, I still have a huge nostalgic...

Official News Memories of Holdenshire on Roll20

I'm not an official response, but I purchased Roll20 Memories of Holdenshire and it's very complete. The package includes playable maps of each area, tokens and statistics for each NPC, all broken down by each "Act" of the story. There are text notes describing each area and the new rules...

Level Up (A5E) Summary of major differences between A5E and O5E?

Like others have said, no known list exists and a comprehensive one would be massive. Having incorporated A5e rules into my own games since the playtest, I personally decided to approach it like a toolset: I can easily incorporate the new features where applicable, but it doesn't break anything...

Homebrew Level Up Roll20 Character Sheet is live!

Happy New Year! I'm not sure how many other Roll20 users out there are still watching this thread, but I wanted to throw this out there: When we make skill checks, my group was thinking that having the associated ability listed in the output would be useful. For example (screen shots below for...

Homebrew Level Up Roll20 Character Sheet is live!

When you create a new game in Roll20, in the options it lists you can find character sheets. Scroll or look for Level Up Ae5 and select it. Start your game and create a sample character and you can check it out

Gate Pass Gazette What content do y'all want from Gate Pass Gazette?

As a Planescape fan, I'd like to see some expanded choices for the Planetouched and some more planar-centric Journeys. More monsters and additional variations on existing monsters would also be fun. Also, I'd like to see AE5-takes on other classes/subclasses. I'd love to see what you could do...

Homebrew Level Up Roll20 Character Sheet is live!

While I'm on the topic, Another quirk with the NPC sheets, if there's no [attackbonus] or [attackdamage] listed in an attack, it gives us the syntax error when we try to roll it (as seen with "Sword Sweep"). I can put 0's in place to make it happier, as seen with "Kick" in my screen shot. It's...

Homebrew Level Up Roll20 Character Sheet is live!

I noticed on one of the new changes, for NPCs the Reaction table format is a bit misaligned. Here's a screen shot below for reference. Thanks! I, for one, appreciate all the work being put into this! Also, as a request, I think it would be useful if a button could be placed next to them (as...

Homebrew Level Up Roll20 Character Sheet is live!

Yes, I can confirm those changes went live. I have a few other (low-priority) items to request, but your plate looks pretty full as it is, so I won't pile more on until you're ready.
