Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

I am more interested in fellow ENworlders who aren’t [naughty word]s and other gamers who like making stuff than in gaming “names.” As for Gail Simone, God bless her, but her schtick was not for me back in peak twitter days.

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

I just got back on Bluesky. Anyone here on there and worth following? Right now the only person I follow is Kevin Kulp. lol.

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

That thing where, after a couple of years, you go back and take someone off ignore because in retrospect they seem reasonable as compared to a bunch of people whose posts you've been recently reading and decided to put on ignore.

    Castles & Crusades spell components

Not Castles & Crusades, but my most recent approach is that aside for things that cost money, everything is fine with a focus, but I am strict about needing to have free hands to get out a focus and/or do somatic gestures, and an ability to speak the verbal components clearly. So I guess my...

Other D&D Variant Domain play, what, if anything, do you use?

Now that I think of it, I may never have looked at K&W (or maybe just looked at the warfare part) But I remembered S&F as having a limit to only two being combined, but it has been years and that is the downside to owning something on PDF (for me), I might look through it once, but I rarely go...

What are your thoughts on TTRPGs with non-standard dice?

I personally don’t mind but as many posts here testify to, the fact that it is a barrier to others can make it hard for those of us who might like them to find folks to play with or puts us in the position of getting extra sets for others, esp. when as @Ruin Explorer rightly points out you...

Other D&D Variant Domain play, what, if anything, do you use?

It has been a while since I checked out the MCDM domain stuff but i remember it not being flexible enough for my needs and assuming that individual characters will have their own domains rather than a party collaborating to build one for the group (my general experience) with an unsatisfying...

D&D General How Was Your Last Session?

My in-person group has spent the last session and a half on the same encounter and it has not been resolved yet! We'll see next time, I guess. Both sides took serious casualties.

D&D General How Was Your Last Session?

I always mean to. . . but then don't - and have been suffering a big gap due to summer scheduling. I do appreciate your posts, however!

What makes a successful superhero game?

Personally, when it comes to Supers games, I prefer a rules-light game that does not use a grid (minis are ok for general positioning, but not required). I say this because the setting for a superhero game can not only range over the space of many city blocks (or whatever) given flight, and...

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Maybe it is just impossible to read any thread without coming away with a distaste, if not for pizza itself, than anyone who talks about eating it, no matter how they prefer it.

Are there any programs which let you create custom character sheets?

The learning curve is not too bad and if you already have experience with Publisher, it should not be too difficult. The thing I would be sure to check on is making sure boxes snap to others, but using copy/paste to create multiple boxes of the same size helps. Tables work well too. The...

D&D General My experience with popular D&D VTT tools

I think Owlbear Rodeo is perfect for groups that still prefer playing paper and pencil style but have to use the internet to play because of time or distance. The two online games I am involved in still use paper character sheets.

D&D 3.x Mike Selinker about the release of 3.0 D&D

Me and a few members of my gaming group picked up our PHBs at Gen Con. We were so psyched and we played 3.0 (later with some 3.5 stuff thrown in) for 16 years.

TSR Why would anyone want to play 1e?

I homebrewed level drain away for HP damage that can only be restored on consecrated ground (through rest or magic) long before 5E ever came out (back in 2E days) and I still use a version of this in 5E.
