Usually what I see is the players get all over the one who started the fight because he chose the wrong opening tactic/target...

I have yet to see anyone surrender in these situations - because someone always refuses, starts the fight, and at that point everyone else joins in.

I haven't seen a clone of Alternity. It's one of the few game systems I purchased without having anyone up for playing it - I think i have everything. The reason I bought it was because of a story hour here. I now have to go look for the story hour and reread it.

Is the ability to toggle showing the xp comments on or off (along with status + other things that make 1 sentence posts take up so much vertical space) a possibility in the future?

Hmmm - it just shows Unread 0, Total 0 - and I never would have known to look there either.

Sorry for the thread-jack but how are people notified when someone has given xp? Does it require some other account option be turned on? I was doing a quick scroll through this thread and found out someone gave me xp - but i would normally never know because I seldom reread my own posts and...

Our group apparently doesn't. We usually don't find out something has errata until after there is a question about how it interacts with something new at the table. We then look it up - the DM has a DDI subscription - and we find out it was changed 3 months ago and how we are playing it is now...

Party synergy is going to be tough - the wizard has at most two powers that provide concealment and I'm not sure any of the other characters have any powers that move other allies....I may just retrain that utility power. Its just a little too situational.
