Keep on the Shadowfell Pregens as PDFs

In post #13 of this thread: http://www.enworld.org/forum/showthread.php?p=4383694#post4383694, azigen provides corrected pdfs of those characters in the same format. Each level has its own pdf!

Is Fighter's Combat Challenge an OA or not?

It does seem odd that Combat Challenge and Warpriest's Challenge have different wording.

Is Fighter's Combat Challenge an OA or not?

OK, now that I have properly referenced the PHB, I agree that it should allow an OA instead of a 'basic melee attack as an immediate interrupt.' If it truly were supposed to be the latter, with the intent of allowing this only once per fighter's round, then they could have reinforced that with...

Is Fighter's Combat Challenge an OA or not?

Thanks for the correction. That'll teach me to post from memory without reference.

Forked Thread: A little PHB 2 info

Incantatrix? Yeah, that dates me. (from a mid-80's Dragon.)

Is Fighter's Combat Challenge an OA or not?

I think it is intentionally written that way. It seems like its an OA, but it's not. (removed the rest since it was wrong)

I need a GenCon attendee to be my avatar...

I think WotC would be best served by delaying the deluxe core rulebooks until this time next year, and incorporate all known errata at that point. Like many others, this has gone from a 'must have' to a 'no thanks' for me. Which is a shame.

Germaine is now Human... but is still FUBAR

So, last month's Dragon has been complied and is available for download. I have been hoping they work fix the absolutely atrocious writeup for Germaine the fighter-mage in the Character Concepts article. The good news is: they made him human and adjusted the appropriate feats. But... eladrin...

Siege of Bordrin's Watch - Scales of War Up

I like this adventure a lot. Thanks to those that pointed out the nonsensical nature of the river... now that will nag at me! Also, the final encounter room could use a better map. Specifically, the platforms are supposed to be steel grates like the boiler room, yet they mapped them as...

D&D 5E (2014) What powers should be next on the Errata Block?

Wow. That really does need to be fixed to ranged 'attack' instead of ranged power. As it stands, things like the Cleric's Divine Aid and Sanctuary and the Warlord's Crescendo of Violence, Knight's Move, and Shake it Off (to just name some Lvl 2 Utilities) would all provoke an OA. I really...

Careful Attack/Sure Strike: A mathematical analysis

I posted this in the suggested errata thread, but thought to copy it here with the main discussion: I think Twin Strike is the real culprit here. I think it is just too good to be an at-will. Maybe it would be better if it only gave one attack roll, but then did primary [W] + secondary [W]...

D&D 5E (2014) What powers should be next on the Errata Block?

Thanks. I think Twin Strike is the real culprit here. I think it is just too good to be an at-will. Maybe it would be better if it only gave one attack roll, but then did primary [W] + secondary [W]. If you hit, both weapons hit. If you miss, both miss. Or maybe a hit with the primary attack...

D&D 5E (2014) What powers should be next on the Errata Block?

Can someone explain to me the issue with Careful Attack and Sure Strike? I understand they do less damage than a basic attack, but they also have a +2 to hit over a basic attack. I can see how Careful Attack is a poor choice compared to Twin Strike... I'd much rather take two chances to hit...

New errata posted, stealth changes official

I'd gald they are kicking out errata so quickly... not are not afraid to do it. Much better than many other games that just ignore their problems. Hopefully, when they figure out they have everything 'just right' they will incorporate it all into the next printing and the pdfs. No, that...

New errata posted, stealth changes official

Harsh. 22 pages of errata for 3 volumes totalling over 800 pages isn't much. The errata could probably fit on a quarter of those pages if boiled down without all the fancy formatting. Here's a few more errata I'd like to see: Zombie minion errated to either live up to being lvl 3 or...

    Bastard sword v. Greatsword

Mr. Teapot, Great analysis. I thought about the Weapon Focus thing as well. So, for the price of one feat, the greatsword equals the bastard sword at heroic, is +1 at paragon, and is +2 at epic. But like you also stated, the bastard sword use could take that feat as well. I think the root...

How often do DMs draw opportunity of attack

I wholeheartedly agree that those the DM has some responsibility to intentionally provoke OAs since many powers rely on them. That has to be tempered with giving a fair challenge. I tend to base my play on the monster's intelligence. I'll intentionally make more 'blunders' with lower INT...

    Bastard sword v. Greatsword

And I'm completely blocked from the WotC boards out here!:( I get what you are saying about the bastard sword being a superior weapon... since it takes a feat it should be better. BUT... I think it should only be better than a comparable military weapon. One order of magnitude better, if you...

    Bastard sword v. Greatsword

When I get home from Afghanistan next month, I plan on buying a community supporter account. Then I will have access to the search feature and I will search out and read those old threads! [/LIST]Just curious... why do you say that?
