    D&D 5E (2014) Sage Advice is back!

Great interview. I'm down with this design direction.

Amazing insight into the creative process behind this product. Cool stuff.

    D&D 5E (2014) Paizo's 'The Abomination Vaults' Pathinder AP Coming to 5E

I bought and read the PDFs of the entirety of Abomination Vaults. It's pretty good. Definitely among my top choices for a dungeon crawl. I ended up going with The Banewarrens instead (but that campaign has been on my wishlist for 15 years). Glad to see more of Paizo's excellent content coming to 5E.

    D&D 5E (2014) Campaigns or adventure anthologies?

I always think I want anthologies but the reality is I get more mileage out of campaigns, even when I'm picking them apart and repurposing them for standalone adventures (as I have done with Dragon Heist countless times).

    D&D 5E (2014) Announcement Next Week--What Hints For Upcoming D&D Books?

Here's my prediction for 2023: GAMMA WORLD. Or some other non-D&D property, such as Star Frontiers or Top Secret. Why? Because it's a safe place to test mechanical changes that might appear in 5.5E one year later, the same way that Star Wars Saga Edition previewed 4E D&D. It's also a way to...

D&D 5E (2014) Let’s Read Mordenkainen Presents: Monsters of the Multiverse.

Bodak is a truly awesome monster and was the centerpiece of one of the best combats I've ever run, ever. They deserve more love. Conceptually, I dig boggles. But the 5E mechanics are lackluster. I've adapted the 4E version of this creature and it's much more interesting at the table.

D&D 5E (2014) Adding Feats to the Existing Backgrounds

Isn't this similar to 4E's split between combat and utility powers (I believe SW Saga was test bed for a lot of 4E ideas)? Not super familiar with Pathfinder 2E, but I think it has a similar split.

Dragonlance DRAGONLANCE LIVES! Unearthed Arcana Explores Heroes of Krynn!

This is a fascinating UA. First, I'm just glad to see Dragonlance on its way. I'm not sure I'll ever play another DL campaign (I ran a TERRIBLE one in high school...because everything I ran in high school was terrible) but this book will be an automatic buy for me. Second, there are some...

D&D General How Was Your Last Session?

37th session in my Dragon Heist/Deck of Many Things mashup. 8th level half-orc cavalier fighter, halfling swashbuckler rogue, and half-elf evoker wizard/grave cleric. The players have been getting thrashed for several sessions in a row, so my goal for this adventure is to let them wreck face...
