WotC WotC Removes Digital Content Team Credits From D&D Beyond

It has been explained. You replied to that explanation with, basically, "And?" It seems as though you either don't want to accept or don't understand that the issue described is, in fact, an issue in this industry. I'll take the word of those (multiple) people who do who have chimed in in this...

    D&D 5E (2014) Legendary Resistance shouldn't be optional

Hard disagree. That changes LRs from "let's make this fight last as long as a boss fight should" to "how many crappy saves can we trigger with meaningless effects to drain those LRs?" Automatically triggering LRs misses the point of LRs.

Does Your Campaign Have a BBEG? Does it Need One?

There were other song-based villains, including the Necromancer (based on the Rush song) and the Queen of Spades (a false identity of Lolth, based on the song by Styx). I'm pretty sure that the "Silver Mountain" was a demiplane or otherwise isolated prison for him, equivalent to the Demiplane...

D&D General Do You Use a DM Screen?

I basically never use a screen, but if I do ever want to use one, I already have the greatest innovation in DM screen technology ever, the... I believe 4th Edition?... Hackmaster GM's Screen.

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D species article

True enough. Is everything being powered up a good thing though? I dislike some of these changes more than anything else I have seen so far about the 2024 rules.

D&D 5E (2014) Quests from the Infinite Staircase: How Is It?

Thanks, everyone- I am more stoked to pick this up than I was before reading your posts, and I was pretty stoked. It has a combination of adventures I love (Pharoah) and ones I have never read (When a Star Falls). I'm really looking forward to it now.

Someone bemoaned the loss of Mask of the Wild in this very thread. Your opinions are not universal truth.

D&D 5E (2014) Quests from the Infinite Staircase: How Is It?

I haven't seen any chatter about this book since it released a few days ago. Does anyone have it yet? How is it?

    Tarantino Movies, Ranked!

I really like the Tarantino films I like, which is most of them. From worst to best, of the ones I have seen, my rankings would be: 9. Death Proof (takes too long to go anywhere) 8. Reservoir Dogs (great, but it is agonizing to watch) 7. Jackie Brown (I fell asleep during it, but like scenes...

D&D 5E (2014) At what level do your heavy armored characters get their plate mail?

There's no hard and fast rule for this. It depends on when they find or purchase some, which depends on the risks they take. I run a pretty hardcore sandbox, so it's really up to the group.

    D&D 5E (2024) 2024 Player's Handbook Reveal: "New Wizard"

I'd suggest that any caster not limited by a list of known spells like a sorcerer should be able to change cantrips on a long rest.

    D&D 5E (2024) 2024 Player's Handbook Reveal: "New Wizard"

I feel like cantrips ought to be similar to other spells, where you can prep a certain number per day. Wizards ought to be able to swap them (for other cantrips in their book) every long rest. Clerics shouldn't be stuck with the same cantrip selection forever. I am a huge fan of meaningful...

D&D 5E (2024) What is your oppinion of 5.24 so far?

I guess I would describe my attitude as "largely likes most of the individual changes, but strongly dislikes the overall power creep and sees a lot of it". I'm not just talking about improved martial pcs, which I can live with for sure, but things like almost doubling the value of healing...

D&D 5E (2014) How do you do Kaiju in 5e?

I have a bunch of gargantua (D&D's kaiju) statted up as monsters. One of them in particular, the Island Shark (a shark literally big enough to eat a small island in one bite), is an epic level challenge where you have to "defeat" a bunch of its body parts (one eye, its mouth, its dorsal fin, and...

D&D General On Early D&D and Problematic Faves: How to Grapple with the Sins of the Past

Thanks! I started reading the level titles and was like, "These are basically just the feminine version of old level titles." Then I got to the rogue. Level 1: "Wench".... YIKES!
