Kind of a cop-out if you ask me. They could have easily done a Savage Worlds Evil Dead book, or used any number of other horror-themed rpg's. But no, the grey blob of 5e absorbs yet another book.

Animated series for Drizzt trilogy and Icewind Dale trilogy. Done. If they can do it for Arcane, Vox Machina, and Twilight of the Gods, then can do a D&D story.
