This is sounding more and more like 5e every day. Someone please remind me who the intended audience is and what differentiates this in any significant way from what is already out there. So if PF was 3.75, then this is... 5.1? I'm just not understanding the appeal.

Fiend Folio grew on me over the years, to the point where I now prefer it to the original Monster Manual just due to the outright weirdness of some of the creatures.

Interesting. I hadn't realized this was the case... though I am curious as to why. Then again, as a DM, my players will never be able to challenge what basically amount to deities in any case in actual combat, so there's that.

I just hope these become official at some point. In the meantime I'll continue to use the Midgard Heroes versions of these races as they seem both more interesting and address some of the inherent issues with playing centaurs in particular.

You beat me to it! That area really serves no purpose in the overall adventure either other than a bit of odd flavor/fluff for mysterious Barovia.

I loved this so much. To me it was like Gamma World on steroids. TMNT and Other Strangeness was a fantastic game!

12 years old! Judging from the old responses... news of the horrible 2009 version of Land of the Lost had not yet proliferated. Now the under 30 crowd is probably painfully aware of it.

I'm seriously considering adding Altrusians/Sleestak to my Chult campaign. They made such a huge impression on my nightmares as a kid, and they would make a good substitute for some of the other standard evil humanoids. I'm going to stat them up for D&D Beyond!

Just call the various humanoids "species" instead of race and it'll be fine. Within each species, break it down into cultures (in the case of humans) or even "sub-species" (in the case of elves for example with drow, sea elves, etc). I agree though... the term "race" could be replaced with...
