I got thinking about disciplines. How many martial disciplines can a martial adept chooses to know? like can he maneuvers from Diamond Mind and Iron Heart or is only one discipline?

What are good races for either Warblade or Swordsage that is not human or something other than PHB races?

I have the Dragon issue with the Diaboli in it and I'm not sure how much it has changed in the Dragon Compendium Vol.1. I thought about a Kobold also but the setting is Dragonlance and I'm not sure either would work in the world.
