Elon Musk Calls for Wizards of the Coast to "Burn in Hell" Over Making of Original D&D Passages

I actually can name at least one instance (of the negative). It has a great deal of angst, anger, and people being upset about it. It's also not my place to bring it up. I wasn't around to witness it myself, and I only know about it second hand. My personal experiences with Gygax were all...

So I want to use D&D (Greyhawk) Spells in Dragonbane...

I have not. I just started reading through the dragonbane rulebooks (because of a Kickstarter for Magnamund/Lonewolf which will be an extension of those rules). Haven't given it a though how one would transfer D&D characters or ideas between the two rulesets.

Trailer RED ONE | Official Trailer 2

I just watched this. It's a crazy ride. If you just accept the ludicrous craziness of it all, it's actually pretty fun. As soon as you think it can't get more insane...it does. They keep cranking it up past 11 in where they go with this film. I liked it. It's a strange action/adventure...

Tabletop creators leave X for Bluesky in droves

So, right now it looks like the only way to really invest in properties related to it is through Atproto or Primal. It looks like it could really take off, but as a PBC, it would be difficult to invest money into it as I currently see it. But if they were something that was easy to invest in...

Elon Musk Calls for Wizards of the Coast to "Burn in Hell" Over Making of Original D&D Passages

Interesting piece. That said, I bought the book and haul it around (took off the dust jacket though). It has all the OD&D stuff in one place. It means I don't have to haul my other OD&D books around (the original printings, which are worth waaaay too much these days, so I figured I wouldn't...

Elon Musk Calls for Wizards of the Coast to "Burn in Hell" Over Making of Original D&D Passages

Okay, so I read some Piers Anthony when I was younger. I think Xanth 1-9. I don't recall anything absolutely terrible in that series...per se...but if the comments are correct in this thread...maybe I shouldn't revisit it...ever? Is there anything bad in those first 9 or 10 Xanth Books (those...

Hasbro Confirms New Unannounced Dungeons & Dragons Video Game in Development

Well, that should be good. I hated Inquisition...but that probably had more to do with the fact that I discovered I really don't like open world games (with some exceptions like Breath of the Wild) than the actual writing. I've heard that DA4 is less open world and more direct on where to go...

How do we know Veilguard failed? It just came out. I'm still deliberating about whether to buy it or not.

WizKids Reveals D&D Red Dragon Tyrant Figure, Coming July 2025

The biggest Miniature I ever got was a Red Dragon Great Wyrm that was put out many years ago. I lost the first one (suspect it was stolen when I moved some items from one location to another), so I got another one. That one also has disappeared (no idea where it is anymore)...so... This one...

Elon Musk Calls for Wizards of the Coast to "Burn in Hell" Over Making of Original D&D Passages

There was a guy recently that posted the top player lists and almost proved that the top 70 or so were all using cheats (proveable by the impossible stats they had, and impossible items that could not be found in game, only created by a cheat). He theorized, that since he was like 96th or so in...

Elon Musk Calls for Wizards of the Coast to "Burn in Hell" Over Making of Original D&D Passages

That's extremely educational. It looks like Musk is not an early riser. From that, it appears that he sleeps from approximately 2Am/3AM to around 10:30/11AM. Late nights and late mornings. That implies he probably doesn't have the work ethic he claims he has these days...but who knows...

Elon Musk Calls for Wizards of the Coast to "Burn in Hell" Over Making of Original D&D Passages

On the bright side, WotC already burns in the Hells (Nine Hells at least, then if you want to go deeper we have the Abyss, and other places). It has been incredibly profitable. Tieflings are extremely popular as well, even more so than the Asimar are. WotC has it all, from the Seven...

What Property Do You Still Want to See Get a TTRPG Adaptation

1985 would be my first choice (more lore, in some ways more out there)...but the new one (2011?) would also be fine as well. Either or.

What Property Do You Still Want to See Get a TTRPG Adaptation

some that could be interesting, but not that I necessarily would want. Shannara series (though, only limited to the maximum of High Druid of Shannara Trilogy, though even then it started to lose it's luster. More like the original three books, First King and Heritage and that's it)...

    Alien: Earth

I think most people forgot about it, TBH. I don't think we've ever seen an entire world in the process of being devoured (okay, Tyranid reference, but Aliens are sort of like Tyranids if you think about it). We saw the aftermath of a colony in Aliens, but it could be interesting to see the...

    Alien: Earth

2120 may be misleading. It could be a lead up to the events of Alien and Aliens...or...it could be a switcheroo and we finally get to see the aftermath of Alien Ressurrection.

    We’re On BlueSky

For those of us not so up to date, explain to me what Bluesky is and what it entails. I think it is something like Twitter (the guy who originally did twitter, started blue sky or something). Some things indicate it's a gathering of things such as mastadon, but not as centralized as twitter...

Why a rapier is bad for an adventurer

Bows were awesome in AD&D. Bow specialists who had 4 shots in a round were even more awesome. A hasted bow specialist with Flaming Arrows or other special arrows (arrow of Death anyone?) with 8 attacks per round were even more awesome. They tended to get old fast though.

    Willow?

I have the hardcopy of the Willow Sourcebook. Haven't looked at it in a while. I believe Mad Martigan was a level 12 fighter or something. It was odd as it used AD&D stats, but wasn't an AD&D book. There was also a Willow RPG box, not sure if the sourcebook came from the RPG box or not. I...

Trailer Marvel Studios’ Thunderbolts* | D23 Brazil Special Look

Texas is 12 - 15 hours. California North to South is 10-12 hours. Heck, just going from Utah to California (next door neighbors) is 8-10 hours, and going from SLC to San Francisco is 12. Nevada can take 8-10 hours north to south (and there's nothing there, it's all just...empty. The...
