I didn't think it was that big a screw up - the pacing was off, but I think it was intended as a movie. There wasn't enough there for the episode count. If they'd cut it better, I think it would have been fine.

What I also loved about it was that it was an LGBTQ romance that just split up for totally relatable reasons. Nothing to make it extraordinary and no kill your gays moment. Nothing that made it stand out other than it was a sad reality of life.

Note that the second season is the weakest season, but it's definitely still good- just weaker than the others with some weak storylines. And its one of the few series that landed the plane with grace, and I really loved the send off.

Just finished the finale. It has me hype for the next season of the Boys, and though some say it was Boys lite and afterschool special with the ending - I really liked it as a contrast to how down all the ending of the seasons of The Boys have been.
