I think that might apply to the game itself, but you can have cyberpunk without transhumanism just fine. They just would have had to retcon a lot about the background to truly make the game fit the divergent advancements we've experienced since 2020 came out, and chose not to go that way.

This is my exact stance. Many might say the cancelations are having an effect, but other than the publicity, they can't have any numbers yet, so perhaps this was the plan the entire time. Who knows.

At the minimum, I've seen people post up that hey this is going on and they're working through it and then not come back and interact with the post, and still get grace.
