Lately I've found buying the older warhammer minis via ebay I've found cheaper for many staples (orcs, humans etc) than the secondary market for DDM. Painted better too, but longer wait between purchases. The second hand market for DDM I can see lasting a long long while getting recycled...

Like any campaign, not all evil ones play out the same. An all lawful evil party can be way easier to run in terms of player teamwork than that group with the paladin, barbarian and thief. Having a NPC overlord can help with unifying a bunch of more disparate evil characters. On topic: I...

I have to agree with the OGL being my favourite change. To me it also marked a listening to the consumers of the product over the rather more proscribed take on the Internet with sharing campaigns and ideas that was immediately before it.

I've played with more bad players than I have bad GMs :/ Most of the time I define a good GM (or group) by "am I having fun?" not 'could I be having more fun if ..." I also view role play groups as collabrative fun, not just the GMs job.
