@sevenbastard I didn't think to look at game play videos, thanks for the idea. Yeah, pass for me. Already went all in on Sword & Sorcery and they look to play really similar. Was hoping for something a lot less fiddly with a focus on exploration.

Pretty disappointed they didn't release the rulebook. Before I go spending half a grand, I want to know if it's more than just "PF2 Lite" and how it differentiates itself from the mountain of dungeon crawlers I already own.

My #1 travel game is Slay the Spire, which happens to be available on just about every platform. Incredibly addictive Deck Builder that only gets more fun the more you play. I have hundreds of hours and still play it like crazy. Makes airplane rides go by in a blink!

I find grand sweeping statements pretty useless in any context... Maybe start there as an initial thought, then take the time to dial it down to something useful and insightful. It's not controversial if everyone (but you) is in agreement. First, you have to come up with a convincing argument...

Silent, especially since it plays into how you want the story to be told. Great idea too btw. Can just see slowly building up clues each time it happens until the PCs figure out whats going on and then watching them come up with a clever idea to detect and stop it from happening again. Too fun...

Will also vouch for Savage Worlds, specifically Interface Zero or Savage Rifts as a base, then hack the system/homebrew to fine-tune it.
