    Collected Core Handbook Errata

In the category of "unhelpful references".... DMG p 145: "Campaign Handout: Keep a copy of the handout you made for your players (page 25)." Page 25 just mentions handouts for clues to an adventure and suchlike, it says nothing about giving the players a piece of paper with the outlines...

You gain a bonus to the attack roll equal to your Strength modifier.

Then you take a penalty. In the example you give of Topple Over (p 120), the + your Str mod only applies if you've chosen to be a Brutal Scoundrel. You'd have to be pretty daft to pick that tactic with a low Strength. Generally speaking, in all cases like this the bonuses have to be...

    Wizard and spellbooks

Dude, you're complicating things so much you make my head hurt. It's like this. The table on pg 29 of the PH tells you how many daily and utility spells you can "know" (a poor choice of words when it comes to the wizard, but we can gloss over that). Which levels they are depend on...

    Power sources. What's the point?

Don't do drugs, drugs are bad, mmmkay? ;) While rituals clearly tap different power sources - notably arcane, divine and primal - there is no prerequisite of getting your class powers from the same source. You just have to be trained in the appropriate skill.

All Possible Ability Scores for 22 Points

The number of possible stat raises is 8. Which is an even number. ;) 1) Oh yes indeed. 2) Probably, considering the next answer... 3) For most builds, absolutely. I would say a lot of builds don't actually have a proper tertiary stat - often you just want a 3rd score to be relatively decent to...

    What does "Adjacent" really mean?

You can. And in 4e too. There is no problem here, move right along...

Were wizards more secondary stat based in the playtest?

I dunno, the DDEXP Wizard is the only pre-gen we've seen who's actually minimaxed. 20 Int FTW! ;) TBH most of the builds contain pretty naff suggestions, I would never use any of them as written.

    Lets "fix" the Keep pregens!

Unsurprisingly, I agree with 99% of this post, but I do like dwarven tanks because of Stand Your Ground. Oh and on a tangent, but just because it can't be said enough: Tieflings need some errata to be viable at all, because their racial powers don't hold a candle to anyone else's, and...

    Lets "fix" the Keep pregens!

I've read this argument before and I still don't understand it. Yes, many classes have powers evenly divided between 2 stats. But why on earth would you want to take powers from both branches? You can play, say, a Battle Cleric straight down the line, taking only the Str based powers (and maybe...

    Lets "fix" the Keep pregens!

Correct, grasshopper. Wha? Did you suddenly forget everything you just learned? Back to the monastery for you. A few years more of scrubbing floors, I think. ;) Seriously, the mathematically optimal build for any class is always to focus on powers that use your main stat and push that to 20...

    Greatsword is dead!

Of course it does, as long as he has the proficiency. Say hello to my Dragonborn melee ranger. With the right powers and feats, he's the closest thing to a martial controller you'll find.

    Greatsword is dead!

Going strictly by the wordings in the PH, I would say yes. I mean, there's no place it explicitly says "A versatile weapon wielded two handed counts as a two handed weapon for every other rule where it matters," but there's absolutely nothing to hint at the opposite either.

The pendulum swings back: Humans suck once again

Yes of course. Why do you think I'm disagreeing with you? Oh, maybe you think my comment about "pwnage" means that I consider Humans to always be superior to every other race? No, that's not how I meant it. I just mean that whatever class you want to play, Human is always one of the best...

Really, No PC Gnomes! Stop Asking!

Funnily enough, I would argue that it matters even more now. ;)

The pendulum swings back: Humans suck once again

To get back to the racial discussion... Quite to the contrary of the OP, I'm a little concerned that humans are a little too good. Or perhaps more accurately, that for someone who understands the math of the system, the number of race-class combinations that make sense are rather limited. Let...

The pendulum swings back: Humans suck once again

Well, yes and no. A warlock has to take Eldritch Blast and their pact's at-will. Free choice of powers is only for everything else (encounter, daily, utility). What that means is that humans are the only warlocks that can take another pact's at-will. In fact, they have to. ;) P.S.: oh and BTW...

I also have the books [merged] (info on upcomming Power sources and more)

No and Yes. (And if you have trouble parsing that it's because of the way you phrased your question. ;) ) However... some powers get noticeably better if you have the corresponding pact.

But is there a ceiling? I.e. can you ever max out a stat?
