I agree and this is something I do. I don't have a mechanic I use for it - i sort of play it by ear depending upon the location, the size of the encounter and other factors such as how stealthy they've been to this point, how well they've hid bodies, etc.

I didn't say it, but I was thinking the same. It would be interesting and quite easy for WotC to do many things now that they will keep all the content under their roof.

These seem quite contradictory. Why would multiple people be logged in to the same account unless that account was shared - which seems to be what is against the TOC mentioned in the 2nd statement, right? Am I missing something? I do think being able to share an account between a group is one...

I think you'll find this helpful. I use Shado's Character Sheet THE BEST combination of ease of use plus detail. It's really fantastic! There is also a writable version probram if you'd like. If you haven't seen this yet, give it a try. Trust me.

Thanks for the OP. I've been disappointed with the standard D&D character sheet - and frankly baffled at why they didn't create something easier to use and easier on the eyes (I use Shado's Character Sheet). This encounter's character sheets are an interesting take and great for beginning players.

you *MUST* get DDI. It is unbelievably helpful and has all (updated) info from the books. If you want, you could get a one-month subscription and then cancel. It'll still work but with no further updates. It'll really, really help. I started DM'ing this past year after a 25 year break...
