The lack of summoning is a huge negative for me. Honestly the druid is kind of lame, which is why I have to amuse myself by summoning hogs and carrying them around. I want to summon waves of minions.

Other of bands do this. Check out Gygax. And yes for me classic and power metal is the soundtrack for RPG games. When working on games stuff its Manilla Road, Virgin Steele, Manowar, Omen, Blind Guardian, Visigoth etc.

We just all roll, and the group that beat the monsters goes, then the bad guys, then the rest of the party. We don't track order in those groups.

Exactly. I have been gaming with teh same guys for a long time, but honestly most of them are very casual gamers and after a certain point don't put much effort in. Looking forward to getting in a game of HM at GaryCon assuming they aren't full by the time I can register.

When played properly the countdown keeps players in the game very well. You just can't check out of the game in between your turns since you need to be moving and paying attention to what is happening on the battlefield in-between your action counts. But my guys...well some struggled.

In theory I love HM5e initiative count system. But in play you need good players to make it flow. I didn't have that. :(

I use their washes but I only have two of their paints, a black and a white, and haven't had any issues. But 2 minutes on the shaker gets em flowing usually. These days I find the best luck with Vallejo. I used to buy a lot of reaper but their caps bust very easily and they seemed to clog up...

I use an electric hobby paint shaker I bought a few years ago and its great for getting those bottles mixed.

Cool. Looking over the list there is a ton of stuff there so I don't think I'll have issues getting in games I'd like.
