I would tend to allow the weapon to grant combat advantage until save ends. That way it sticks with a known mechanic and easier to remember

Cool! Thanks for the info. I was trying to figure out a way my players could use the sheet, save their character, and not have to have Adobe Acrobat. As more rules become available, I want to expand it's usefulness for maintaining characters.
