I guess Village of Homlet and Lost City are not as new DM friendly, though they offer strong RP opportunities and, while potentially deadly, more of a learning curve for the PCs. New DMs, don’t be afraid…

Also not my favorite. For the classes it’s something here, something there. Probably 10% annoyance at the most. This is more like 35 to 40 % annoyance. Though at least it’s not 100%

I was very down on the 2024 aesthetic just before watching this….not anymore! Best of these videos yet.

First yes there are of lot of changes. I think we are approaching 1e to 2e or 3e to 3.5. But second, It does not feel like Next/5.0. Just no reason to be that excited. I have cleared the deck to run a 2024 game starting in September. And it could be the last that I run for this whatever it is.

So, picking up on that other thread on Tiamat. This ancient being of chaos was one of the few, if not the only, female unique named being in the AD&D monster manual. So the real sexism is that she was the token (and perhaps the heart) of high level monsters. But then Gygax gets to work...
