Fantasy Grounds Usage Stats Are In - 5E, Pathfinder, 3.5, Savage Worlds, then Star Wars!

There were a couple things going on around then, but it is quite possible. The OGL was announced and then we released the SRD content within Fantasy Grounds on January 13. We had a lot of people holding out on trying D&D 5E or Fantasy Grounds due to the cost of picking up the core material if...

Fantasy Grounds Usage Stats Are In - 5E, Pathfinder, 3.5, Savage Worlds, then Star Wars!

These numbers are from DM's who use the Fantasy Grounds alias system. It doesn't account for people who use direct IP connections, but if they run 4 instances of that game in a month, it will count as 4 entries.

Can You Help With Frog God Games' Charles Wright's Medical Expenses?

I'm sorry to hear this. I have only briefly been introduced to Charles, but he's been a great help in getting new content ported over to our system. We wish him all the best.

That was a pretty good episode. Thanks for sharing it.

Trapdoor Tech's Official Pathfinder Mobile Application

Fair enough. They were different enough that I imagine they could have lived side-by-side. There is a growing number of people using it at a physical table, but it is most commonly used solely by the DM as a campaign and combat manager or with a 2nd display pushed to a TV, projector or 2nd...

Trapdoor Tech's Official Pathfinder Mobile Application

First off, congratulations to Paizo and Trapdoor. I just wanted to chime in here to say that WotC did announce digital tools in the form of Fantasy Grounds in April, 2015. It's been very well received and now 1 year later, every available D&D fifth edition release is available on the platform...

    Fifth Edition Foes Monster Book

I'm sorry for the thread Necro, but I thought this would be the most appropriate place for an update. Frog God Games / Necromancer Games and Fantasy Grounds have signed an agreement to convert their material over for play on Fantasy Grounds. The very first module is the conversion of the Fifth...

What Will Become of the FLGS?

I have always thought that running an FLGS is mostly a labor of love. If you are skilled enough to run a profitable FLGS, you could be making much more money in another line of business. If I ever decided to do it, I would probably ensure that I had a strong Internet distribution channel in...

CURSE OF STRAHD Is Now On FANTASY GROUNDS

JRedmond, true. The guy that did that conversion work for us on HOTDQ (Zeph) is also very skilled at making maps and offered to add those. This is the exception rather than the rule. He has been unavailable due to work and family issues, so these are being done by a different person. We have...

CURSE OF STRAHD Is Now On FANTASY GROUNDS

We don't consider ourselves to be content creators and don't have the people on staff to do so. Whenever you start creating content to go along with or replace content that you are licensing from someone else, you then have to go through an entirely new approval process, make sure it matches...

CURSE OF STRAHD Is Now On FANTASY GROUNDS

Most of the maps are top-down style, with the exception of the castle maps which are all isometric. Unfortunately, these were not reversible isometric maps and were artist renditions of isometric maps, meaning that they couldn't simply be converted over. They are useful for exploring and all the...

DM's Guild: What Do The Customers Think?

If you are a DM's Guild author considering PWYW, I would instead encourage you to set an actual price that you think is fair and then open up the free preview to cover the entire contents. That way, buyers know exactly what they are getting and then they can agree with you and buy it or move...

Self Publishing: What's An Artist Worth?

Great article. For another perspective, I would like to throw out the concept of shared publishing. Many people in this industry do work as a labor of love. The work and all proceeds *could* be divided out among all participating parties based on the percentage of work it takes to create the...

Check Out These Peeks At CURSE OF STRAHD
