Here's VIN DIESEL Playing That D&D Game!

I would be too, but I'd roll with it as best as I could and hope that I'd not be too out of place. I have probably done more voice acting as a DM than I have as a player. The current group I'm in focuses much more on the tactical combat side of things and is very light on the roleplaying.

Here's VIN DIESEL Playing That D&D Game!

Thanks for the tip. I started at Episode 1 and have it running on a second monitor while I work. This group is awesome. The voice acting is top notch... which I guess is something you'd expect with a group of mostly voice actors.

Nicely done. That looks like it was a fun group of players and a great DM. This is how I DM in my head. :)

How 3D Printing is Upending the Miniature Industry

People have been able to create their own 3d miniature terrain similar to Dwarven Forge for quite a while, and yet Dwarven Forge continues to flourish. You can still cast a much larger quantity of cavern pieces using Hirst Arts molds (or similar products) in a much faster time period than you...

The need for port forwarding will go away once the move to Unity is complete.

FANTASY GROUNDS Goes 3D With TABLETOP CONNECT

I'm not sure yet about Hololens. It's super cool, and we might... but it's not on our immediate short list.

FANTASY GROUNDS Goes 3D With TABLETOP CONNECT

Hey guys, just a quick note or two here. The interface for FG will continue to allow for 2d interfaces. Carl's first priorities are with helping us get fully moved over to Unity and then to help with the many different enhancements that have been asked for with 2D environments - tile mapping...

D&D 5E (2014) [FANTASY GROUNDS] D&D Rage of Demons: Out of the Abyss is now available

Yes, we include the full stats so that the module is fully contained. It won't require the MM or Complete Core Monster Pack for Fantasy Grounds. For the maps, I use Photoshop and some styles from one of our other developers, Zeph Ponos. It enabled me to make all 13 of the tunnel maps in just a...

[UPDATED] Out of the Abyss Reviews Have Started Rolling In

The idea of having terrible things happen to poor hapless NPCs allied with the players sounds like a great tool for a DM to have available. I have found that often times my players care quite a bit about their pet NPCs. If the NPC is annoying, you can also wait for karmic retribution to land on...

[UPDATED] Out of the Abyss Reviews Have Started Rolling In

Just a minor one. :D It is mostly in response to other threads about digital versions of the maps being available for sale from Mike Schley directly. By the same token, we have digital versions of the player and DM maps included for play in the digital Fantasy Grounds version too. Our versions...

[UPDATED] Out of the Abyss Reviews Have Started Rolling In

If only there was a digital tool that allowed you to quickly pull up the relevant stats for the NPC you encountered or pull up a map when you need it instead of flipping back and forth between pages... hmmm.... If only we could drag anything we wanted from the adventure down to a convenient...

Pathfinder Online Layoffs; Ryan Dancey Leaves Company

I don't mean to imply that you don't need people who are good with story... just that it becomes easier to produce story elements when the world is already fully developed.

Pathfinder Online Layoffs; Ryan Dancey Leaves Company

My viewpoint is almost the exact opposite. Most of the studios we know today as big name studios or successful studios are that way because of how well they did with a licensed product. It's nice to see if they have a track record with past development projects, but I wouldn't even call that a...

What's this about a WotC Licensing Meeting?

What's this about a WotC Licensing Meeting?

We did have to don black cloaks, recite sections of the PHB backwards and drink dark red fluid from a goblet shaped like a skull, but it didn't really seem weird or anything. I have a five or six hour window of time I can't account for, but I think I was just sleeping.

What's this about a WotC Licensing Meeting?

It is held every year. This is just the first year for us. Since many of us are digital partners, it gives us an opportunity to to see what is coming in the future and to prepare for it from each of our platforms. We won't be able to share any secrets, other then to say that there are a number...
