The Fantastic Four: First Steps - Official Teaser Trailer (2025)

I was thinking just a day or two ago that it would be nice to have an MCU FF movie that wasn't performing major phase-X plot duties. Having said that, we don't really know how things play out on this movie or how they balance things story-wise, so...

Yes! Thanks! I've corrected my post.

What are you reading in 2025?

Nerd Alert: I am in the middle of reading not one, not two, but three books about Doctor Who: TARDIS Eruditorum, volume 4: Tom Baker and the Hinchcliffe Years, by Philip Sandifer Running Through Corridors, volume 1: The 60s, by Robert Shearman and Toby Hadoke Time and Relative Dissertations in...

D&D 5E (2014) Battlemaster and Superiority Dice are causing martials to suffer.

I was running a sword 'n' board 2024 fighter champion using DDB last night when I posted, and I think part of my frustration is how DDB character sheets work. I find the way it presents class features/options especially clunky. I think if I set up my own little flowchart or info sheet I'll be...

D&D 5E (2014) Battlemaster and Superiority Dice are causing martials to suffer.

The added class features for fighters, combined with weapon properties/masteries, has frustrated me when playing fighters, which used to be one of my go-to classes - because of the simplicity.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps - Official Teaser Trailer (2025)

Well, go have fun by yourself, I guess?, if you're going to snarkily shoot down the fun others have speculating, which is some significant fraction of the whole point of a thread like this?

Maybe whatever means they use to travel to another universe causes some details to change with them.

Thanks for all that! Worth looking into. As a counter, reshoots and pick-ups happen all the time, even very late in the game, so that could have been a combination of the usual needs and the restructuring we're talking about. In Robot Revolution, is Bel living with flatmates? That's what I...

Agreed! He got more screen time than Eccleston, but that's a low bar. The shorter seasons and low-Doctor-content episodes make his tenure seem shorter than Eccleston's to me. At the end, th' Mrs said "He only gets one season?!?" It feels like it. I had the same question. I think it could be...

Positively thrilled to have Susan back, even just for a bit. I mean, I assume she'll show up again in this 2-part finale!?! I just hope she's not squeezed in and rushed past.

Your most "visceral" experience at a movie theater.

It's worth noting that the music explodes out of complete silence, and to match it the Star Wars logo is initially bigger than the screen can fit, and then recedes so you can see the whole thing. It's a brilliant one-two punch.

Your most "visceral" experience at a movie theater.

I've always had a very willing willing suspension of disbelief. It's something I'm grateful for. I saw 2001: A Space Odyssey on a big screen (not when it came out - I'm not that old!) when I was too young to even kind of grasp it, but old enough and of the right mind-set to be absolutely...
