Avengers: Doomsday | Now in Production cast reveal

I'm just curious to find out if RDJ is playing a) an alternate universe Tony Stark who becomes Doom instead of (or after) becoming Iron Man, b) a Victor Von Doom who looks like Tony Stark, or c) both.

What are you reading in 2025?

About Time, Volume 3: The Unauthorized Guide to Doctor Who (Seasons 7 to 11), by Tat Wood. I'm reading these as I watch classic Who for the first time. These are very detailed, well-researched books, going into behind-the-scenes stuff, lore, etc. Random Walk, by Rachel Lulick. Bought this...

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3 Is Almost Upon Us! Discuss What You Want

I have difficulty engaging with anything Seth MacFarlane does, ever since his stint as the host of the Oscars, and tbh I didn't care much for his stuff before that.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3 Is Almost Upon Us! Discuss What You Want

I have to say, I was not sold at all on Paul Wesley as younger Kirk, and I'm still not sold on him in the role, but I like the way they're writing the character A LOT. They're capturing how he's observant, sensitive, calm, confident but not overbearing... I dig it.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3 Is Almost Upon Us! Discuss What You Want

I pretty much just want SNW to keep doing what it's been doing, but...just...more!

Watching films at the cinema - also, RIP David Lynch.

For me, any movie worth seeing is worth seeing on the big screen.

D&D 5E (2024) Check Out The New Monster Manual’s Ancient Gold Dragon

Interesting that it has Rend instead of Bite and Claw. I like it. I'm of a mind that unless something is different than normal leave it out - in the interest of conciseness and decluttering things - so I wish Mod and Save were just one number (with occasional exceptions called out). And why...

    Art for DM's Guild publications

Absolutely, all of this! I'm an artist (with a background in commercial art and illustration) and my wife is an artist (with a background in fine art), and even I have been guilty of not thinking it through and asking an artist friend if they could just whip something up real quick for me for...

What are your TTRPG Goals for 2025?

In the far-flung future world of 2025, I want to: - find or start a new ftf rpg group. I'll be moving (to NY state), and one or more members of my current group might be moving, too. For me it's about my wife being closer to the biggest art market in the world, but ofr others in my group it's...

Moving to central NY, looking for group

Looks like I'll be moving to the New Berlin, NY area some time in the next couple of months. That's roughly halfway between Uitica and Sydney or Oneanta. I'm 60 years old, but I usually get mistaken for 10 years younger, and almost everyone I game with is younger. I've been playing rpgs since...

Who’s fault is it when movies with money seem low budget?

The approach/attitude you describe here is the real culprit, I think. You can have an army of talented, experienced people, but if the folks in charge don't know what they want then you get a mess. Relatedly, if the folks in charge don't agree on what they want or don't communicate what they...
