    5: sorlock. Quicken Eldritch Blast Possibly combined with a zone or summon. Even after the nerf, and fixing Bladesinger from casting EB, i expect the highest possible DPR is still Conjure Minor Elemental + EB spam. Though i wouldn't count that as ranged attacks.

    That's why I multiplied it by 50%. 40% chance to go first. 50% chance it makes a difference. = 20% Feel free to figure out your own %, that's just rough ballpark. It's not going to be doing 2x damage or anything like that.

    Your comparing ranged fighter to ranged fighter. That eliminates a lot of variables. But yes, you will need to make assumptions to get anywhere. Can't figure out the chance of having Alert and handing your winning initiative to the wizard a percentage of the time that enemies are in fireball...

    not if your ally gets to save resources. If you have 2 enemies with 50hp, you need to deal 100 damage. If you have 1 enemy with 100HP, you need to deal 100 damage. Same damage delt. It does change damage the party took. why wouldn't it?

    A still did more damage. I mean, i can go both ways. Even with advantage, Battlemaster will still go first and kill before A gets a turn. Just not as often. last enemy to die. And they focus fire, because teamwork. Average damage delt. At least that was what you where comparing.

    I would rather split concentration at that point. If you have enough willing creature within 30', I don't expect 150' or 1000' would make much difference. You have a big enough army. But losing concentration would be disastrous.

    I quite like that idea, with the monsters trying to disrupt the caster and allies trying to protect the wizard. But i feel like that would require a new edition with that philosophy more up front.

    Assuming a 3 part creature (or 3 parts left alive) Your suggestion: Cast Banish at level 4 (1 target), needs 3 failed saves. My suggestion: Cast Banish at level 6 (3 targets), needs 3 failed saves. Not sure which is more balanced.
